Bylbyl Sokoli
Bylbyl Sokoli (born 19 December 1958), is a Kosovar football manager, former player and university professor. He was born in Pristina. Playing career Sokoli played as a defender and was associated with several clubs in Kosovo, including KF Prishtina, KF Liria, and KF Drenica. He also had a brief period playing in Turkey with Galatasaray SK. Managerial career Sokoli began his managerial career in the late 1990s. He has managed various clubs in Kosovo such as KF Prishtina, KF Liria, KF Ferizaj, and KF Drenica. Additionally, he has managed the Kosovo national team on two occasions. Achievements As a manager, Sokoli has won: - The Kosovo Superleague in 2001 and 2002 with KF Prishtina - The Kosovo Cup in 2000 with KF Prishtina and in 2006 with KF Liria. Coaching Style Sokoli is known for his attacking style of football and expects high levels of effort and commitment from his players. The Academy of Sciences and Arts of Kosovo ( sq, Akademia e Shkencave dhe e Arteve e Kosovës, la, Academia Scientiarum et Artium Kosoviensis) is the national academy of Kosovo. History & Organization The Academy of Sciences and Arts of Kosovo was founded on December 20, 1975, by decision of the Assembly of Kosovo. Its first president was Esad Mekuli, who is considered to be the father of modern Albanian poetry in Yugoslavia. The academy is organized in four divisions. Those include the division of linguistics and literature, the division of social sciences, the division of natural sciences and the division of arts. Members The academy has 24 regular and 11 associate members. The current president of the academy is Hivzi Islami, while the vice-president is Pajazit Nushi. Sport In Kosovo
Sport in Kosovo has established tradition and plays a prominent role in society. Popular sports in Kosovo include football, basketball, volleyball, handball, and rugby, whereas major individual sports include wrestling, judo, swimming, boxing, karate and skiing. Individual sports have led to Kosovo's biggest successes. Outstanding boxers such as Aziz Salihu, Mehmet Bogujevci, Sami Buzolli, Besim Kabashi.
