Bwatiye People
The Bwatiye people which are mostly refer to as Bachama are a set of people that can be found in Numan, Demsa and Lamurde Local Governments in the Southern part of Adamawa State and in some part of the Cameroons Republic. History The Bwatiye people origin can be traced back to the Gobir people. According to history, Gobir people who occupied Niger territory and some Northwestern Nigeria. They were powerful and brave due to their mastery and skills in battle and artwork. However, they were over powered by the Tuaregs who came from Egypt and were forced to move down to south which is now called the northeastern Nigeria. Numan, Nigeria
Numan, also known as Nomweh (meaning 'hilltop'), is a town and a Local Government Area in Adamawa State, Nigeria. It is a port town that lies on the confluence of Benue River and Gongola River. The predominant ethnic group in the town are the Bwatiye (Bachama) people who have a reputation of being unconquered warriors in all their history. The Bwatiye people are led by a First Class King known as the Hama Bachama, who is the paramount ruler of the Bachama Kingdom, whose Voti (palace) is in Numan the administrative seat of the throne while Lamurde has another palace for the King as that is the spiritual or ancestral home of the Bwatiye people. Demsa is a Local Government Area of Adamawa State, Nigeria with headquarters located in Demsa. Demsa lies on the Benue River. History Demsa Local Government Area is one of the twenty one LGAs in Adamawa State and has the postal code of 642. Lamurde
Lamurde is a town and Local Government Area of Adamawa State, Nigeria inhabited predominantly by the Bwatiye (Bachama) people. History The Lamurde Local Government was established on December 14, 1996, from the local government of Numan. Numerous local government areas in the state shares borders with it, including Taraba state to the west, Guyuk and Shelleng local government areas to the east, Gombe State to the north, and Numan local government to the south. The local government area is 1098 square kilometers in size, and it is located roughly between latitudes 10 24" west and 12 45" east, as well as 90 39" north and 90 11" south. Adamawa State

Gobir (Demonym: ''Gobirawa'') was a city-state in what is now Nigeria. Bacama Language
Bachama (Bachama) is an Afro-Asiatic language spoken in Nigeria in Adamawa State principally in the Numan, Demsa and Lamurde Local Government Areas by the Bwatiye people. The Dialects are Mulyen, Opalo, and Wa-Duku. Bachama-Yimburu appears to be a closely related but distinct language. Bachama is used as a trade language.
