Buslink
CDC Northern Territory is a bus operator providing services in Alice Springs, Bathchelor, Darwin, Palmerston, Jabiru and Humpty Doo. It is the largest operator in the Northern Territory and the sole operator of the Darwinbus network. CDC Northern Territory is a subsidiary of ComfortDelGro Australia (CDC) since November 2018, and was rebranded from Buslink in July 2022. The Buslink brand was also used in bus operations in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria until 2020 when these operations were also rebranded to CDC. History Buslink was formed in May 1988 when Darwin operator Ace Bus Service purchased the business of Matilda Tours from Ansett Trailways and merged both operations under the Buslink brand with a fleet of 25 buses. In 1990 Buslink began operating services from Casuarina to Darwin and Palmerston previously provided by Darwin Bus Service. Buslink Vivo
Buslink VIVO (VIVO stands for "Vehicle In Vehicle Out") was a bus operator providing services in Howard Springs. It was a 50/50 joint venture between Buslink and Transdev Australasia. History In November 2012, Buslink Vivo was awarded a 56-month contract to operate vehicles to transport workers during the construction of the Ichthys LNG project in the Northern Territory of Australia. CDC Queensland, formerly Buslink Queensland, is an Australian bus operator in the Gladstone, Queensland, Gladstone, Rockhampton and Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Sunshine Coast regions of Queensland. CDC Broken Hill, formerly Buslink Broken Hill and Murton's City Bus, is a bus operator in the Australian city of Broken Hill. It is a subsidiary of ComfortDelGro Australia. History In 1902, a steam tramway opened in Broken Hill. After this closed in 1926, several bus operators provided unregulated replacement services. Darwinbus
Darwinbus is the official operational name of the public bus network which operates within the Greater Darwin region, this includes the satellite cities Palmerston and Casuarina, in addition to the Darwin Rural Area in the Northern Territory. The network is exclusively operated by CDC Northern Territory under a six-year contract with the Northern Territory Government starting from 1 July 2022, and in the financial year prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, carried approximately 3.5 million passengers, equivalent to a 5-6% modeshare. Prior to July 2022, the network was operated by two contractors; CDC Northern Territory (previously known as Buslink), and Territory Transit who had shared operation of the majority of urban bus services. Sydney Bus Museum (formerly the Sydney Bus and Truck Museum) is a not-for-profit transportation museum and education centre for public benefit located in the suburb of Leichhardt, in Sydney, Australia.
