Burt Hummel
Burt Hummel is a fictional character from the Fox musical comedy-drama series '' Glee''. The character is portrayed by actor Mike O'Malley, and first appeared on ''Glee'' in the fourth episode of the first season, " Preggers". Burt was developed by ''Glee'' creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan. He is the father of gay glee club member Kurt Hummel ( Chris Colfer), and works as a mechanic in Lima, Ohio, where the series is set. He eventually begins a relationship with Carole Hudson (Romy Rosemont), the mother of another glee club member, Finn Hudson ( Cory Monteith), and the two marry in the second season episode " Furt". Christopher Paul Colfer (born May 27, 1990) is an American actor, singer, and author. He gained international recognition for his portrayal of Kurt Hummel on the television musical '' Glee'' (2009–2015). Placekicker, or simply kicker (PK or K), is the player in gridiron football who is responsible for the kicking duties of field goals and extra points. James "Jim" Poniewozik (; born July 12, 1968) is an American journalist and television critic. He is the chief TV critic for ''The New York Times''. "Furt" is the eighth episode of the second season of the American musical television series ''Glee'', and the thirtieth episode overall. Cory Monteith
Cory Allan Michael Monteith (; May 11, 1982 July 13, 2013) was a Canadian actor and musician who played Finn Hudson on the Fox television series '' Glee''. As an actor based in British Columbia, Monteith had minor roles on television series before being cast on '' Glee''. During his success on the show, he also acted in films. His film work included ''Monte Carlo'' and a starring role in '' Sisters & Brothers'' (both 2011). Monteith had a troubled adolescence involving substance abuse from age 13, and left school at age 16. After an intervention by family and friends, he entered drug rehabilitation at age 19.
