Burgenland Football Association
The Burgenland Football Association (german: Burgenländischer Fussballverband, BFV) is the umbrella organization of the football clubs of the Austrian state Burgenland. The BFV was founded in 1923 and has its headquarters in Eisenstadt. The BFV is one of 8 regional organizations of the Austrian Football Association (german: Österreichischer Fußball-Bund, ÖFB). History of the BFV The BFV was founded 1923 un Eisenstadt. The founding members were the football clubs of Eisenstadt, Deutschkreutz, Mattersburg, Neufeld an der Leitha and Parndorf. The first General Assembly was held on 22 March 1924 in Wiener Neustadt. 20 football clubs participated in the meeting. On 29 March 1924, the association’s first board was established with Josef Cekal as its first president. Eisenstadt (; hu, Kismarton; hr, Željezni grad; ; sl, Železno, Bavarian language, Austro-Bavarian: ''Eisnstod'') is a city in Austria, the state capital of Burgenland. It had a recorded population on 29 April 2021 of 15,074. In the Habsburg monarchy, Habsburg Empire's Kingdom of Hungary, Kismarton (Eisenstadt) was the seat of the House of Esterházy, Eszterházy Hungarian nobility, Hungarian noble family. Gerhard Milletich
Gerhard Milletich (born 1956) is an Austrian media entrepreneur and soccer official. He has been president of the Austrian Football Association since October 2021. Life In 1985 Milletich joined the Compress Group, a publishing house of which he became managing director in 1990. When the Compress Group was sold to Bohmann Publishing in 1999, he became its co-managing director. In 2004, together with his co-managing director Gabriele Ambros, he bought the publishing house from its previous owner, the Dutch group Wolters Kluwer, and has since held a 50 percent stake in it. In 2011, under his leadership, Bohmann-Verlag took over ''Burgenländische Kabelfernsehen (BKF)'' and converted it into the regional broadcaster for the eastern region Schau TV, but sold it to ''KURIER Medienhaus'' in 2017 due to economic problems. The Austrian Football Association (german: Österreichischer Fußball-Bund; ÖFB) is the governing body of football in Austria. It organises the football league, Austrian Bundesliga, the Austrian Cup and the Austria national football team, as well as its female equivalent. It is based in the capital, Vienna. Since 1905, it has been a FIFA member, and since 1954, a UEFA member. Since 7 April 2002, Friedrich Stickler (Dipl. Deutschkreutz ( hu, Sopronkeresztúr until 1899, ''Németkeresztúr'' yi, צעלעם, translit=Zelem hr, Kerestur) is an Austrian market town in the district of Oberpullendorf in the state of Burgenland. Geography Deutschkreutz lies in Middle Burgenland. It is divided into the districts of Deutschkreutz and Girm.
