Bureaucrash
Bureaucrash was an international network of libertarian activists whose stated goals were " decreasing the scope of government" and "increasing individual freedom", and which engaged in culture jamming. History Bureaucrash was founded in 2001 by businessman Al Rosenberg and the Henry Hazlitt Foundation in an attempt to use the Internet to spread what the group calls "pro-freedom" ideals. The following year, the Henry Hazlitt Foundation went out of business and was absorbed into the International Society for Individual Liberty. Bureaucrash survived its parent organization, and in March 2006, an interview with then "Crasher-in-Chief" Jason Talley, on the Competitive Enterprise Institute's website, stated that "In March, Bureaucrash and CEI formed a new strategic partnership to combine the strengths of each organization to help spread the ideas of liberty." Competitive Enterprise Institute
The Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) is a non-profit libertarian think tank founded by the political writer Fred L. Smith Jr. on March 9, 1984, in Washington, D.C., to advance principles of limited government, free enterprise, and individual liberty. CEI focuses on a number of regulatory policy issues, including business and finance, labor, technology and telecommunications, transportation, food and drug regulation, and energy and environment in which they have promoted climate change denial. Kent Lassman is the current President and CEO. The Henry Hazlitt Foundation was a public interest or advocacy organization founded in 1997 by Chris Whitten, who had been publishing ''Free-Market.com'' since 1995. The Foundation was named after free-market economist and writer Henry Hazlitt. In 1997 Free-Market.com became Free-Market.Net: The Freedom Network for the express purpose of making the ideas of liberty more accessible and networking with the international libertarian movement. J.D. Tuccille (the son of Jerome Tuccille) served as senior editor for Free-Market.net. David Horowitz
David Joel Horowitz (born January 10, 1939) is an American conservative writer. He is a founder and president of the right-wing David Horowitz Freedom Center (DHFC); editor of the Center's website ''FrontPage Magazine''; and director of Discover the Networks, a website that tracks individuals and groups on the political left. Horowitz also founded the organization Students for Academic Freedom. Horowitz wrote several books with author Peter Collier, including four on prominent 20th-century American families. In logic, (Latin for "reduction to absurdity"), also known as (Latin for "argument to absurdity") or ''apagogical arguments'', is the form of argument that attempts to establish a claim by showing that the opposite scenario would lead to absurdity or contradiction. 9-12 Project
The 9-12 Project (alternatively 9/12 Project, 912 Project) was a group created by American television and radio personality Glenn Beck. It was launched on the March 13, 2009, episode of '' Glenn Beck'', the eponymous talk show on Fox News Channel. A website was launched to promote the group, and several local 9-12 groups formed soon after in cities throughout the United States. According to Beck, the purpose of the project was "to bring us all back to the place we were on September 12, 2001 ... we were not obsessed with red states, blue states or political parties. The Yes Men are a culture jamming activist duo and network of supporters created by Jacques Servin and Igor Vamos. Through various actions, the Yes Men primarily aim to raise awareness about problematic social and political issues. To date, the duo have produced three films: ''The Yes Men'' (2003), ''The Yes Men Fix the World'' (2009), and '' The Yes Men Are Revolting'' (2014). In these films, they impersonate entities that they dislike, a practice that they call "identity correction." The Yes Men operate under the mission statement that lies can expose truth.
