Bunny Sterling
Basil Sylvester Sterling (4 April 1948 ), known as Bunny Sterling, was a Jamaican-born British boxer, who in 1970 became the first Caribbean immigrant to win a British title when he won the middleweight belt. He went on to become European middleweight champion in 1976. Career Born Basil Sylvester Sterling in Jamaica, he moved with his parents to live in London at the age of six. Managed by George Francis, he made his professional debut in September 1966, losing on points to Joe Devitt. After also losing his next two fights, he gained his first win in December, with a points decision over Fess Parker. In May 1968, he unsuccessfully challenged for Johnny Kramer's Southern Area middleweight title, losing narrowly on points. The two fought again for the title in December, this time Sterling taking the win after a cut to Kramer led to the fight being stopped. Don McMillan (boxer)
Don McMillan is an American comedian and former engineer based in the San Francisco Bay. Education McMillan earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Lehigh University and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Stanford University. Career McMillan worked AT&T Bell Laboratories, where he was a part of the team that designed the world's first 32-bit microprocessor. He then moved to the Silicon Valley, where he worked at VLSI Technology as a computer chip designer. During his six years at VLSI, he designed more than 50 standard and ASIC designs, many of which are still in use. His comedy is stand-up based on technical comedy and corporate comedy. One of his popular shows is ''Life After Death by PowerPoint'' which has been popular on YouTube and for live events. Maurice Hope (born 6 December 1951) is a British former boxer, who was world junior middleweight champion. Born in Antigua, he grew up in Hackney, London. He represented Great Britain at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, West Germany. Boxing career Amateur career Maurice Hope was born in St. John's, Antigua, and moved at a very young age to the UK. Hope's aptitude towards boxing was evident early in childhood; he began to train as a very young boy. Hope went on to box at the 1972 Summer Olympics, where he would lose to German boxer János Kajdi in the quarter finals. Professional career Hope made his professional debut on 18 June 1973, defeating John Smith by decision in eight rounds at Nottingham. Kevin Finnegan
Kevin Finnegan (18 April 1948 – 23 October 2008) was an English boxer. Finnegan's older brother Chris was an Olympic gold medalist and also a professional boxer. Early in his career when Kevin was still an amateur he was banned for 18 months for climbing into the ring to dispute a loss his brother had suffered. He was well known for a trilogy of fights against Alan Minter; although he lost all three, they were close point decisions. He won the British Middleweight title on three occasions, and was a two-time European Middleweight champion. Finnegan twice fought future undisputed world champion Marvin Hagler, losing by a technical knockout on both occasions. Hagler later referred to Finnegan as the toughest man he had ever fought. He also held wins over Tony Sibson and Gratien Tonna. His career lasted from 1970 to 1980 and he had 47 fights, winning 35, losing 11 and drawing one.
