Tussock grasses or bunch grasses are a group of grass species in the family Poaceae. They usually grow as singular plants in clumps, tufts, hummocks, or bunches, rather than forming a sod or lawn, in meadows, grasslands, and prairies. As perennial plants, most species live more than one season. Tussock grasses are often found as forage in pastures and ornamental grasses in gardens. Many species have long roots that may reach or more into the soil, which can aid slope stabilization, erosion control, and soil porosity for precipitation absorption. Also, their roots can reach moisture more deeply than other grasses and annual plants during seasonal or climatic droughts. Bunch is an unincorporated community in southwestern Adair County, Oklahoma, United States. It was named after a Cherokee vice-chief named Rabbit Bunch who lived in the area in the 1880s. Nestled in the Sallisaw Creek valley, Bunch is bisected by the Kansas City Southern Railroad, which was built in the 1890s. Bunch is in the Cookson Hills area of eastern Oklahoma which are a part of the western area of the Ozark Mountains. The Cookson Hills Wildlife Management Area is west of the town. The post office's zip code is 74931. Two and one-half miles north of town is Cave Springs Public Schools, a K-12 school which serves Bunch and the surrounding area. Bunch Creek is a stream in Placer County, California, United States. Bunch Creek is a tributary to the North Fork of the American River, which confluence is to the east at elevation. In reaching that confluence, Brush Creek flows through Bunch Canyon. The Bunch were a British folk rock band, which came together in 1971 to record their one off album, ''Rock On (The Bunch album), Rock On''. Formation The Bunch was put together by Trevor Lucas in late 1971, close to a year after his former band, Fotheringay, had disbanded. He got on board three ex Fotheringay members, Pat Donaldson, Gerry Conway (musician), Gerry Conway, and his girlfriend Sandy Denny.
