The Bulloo Developmental Road is an outback road in Queensland, Australia. It is part of the Adventure Way, a route from Brisbane to Adelaide via the Australian outback. It commences at Cunnamulla and travels approximately west for until it meets the Cooper Developmental Road at . Nockatunga Station, most commonly known as Nockatunga, is a pastoral lease that operates as a cattle station in South West Queensland, Australia. Description Nockatunga is located about east of Innamincka and south west of Quilpie in Queensland. Situated in the channel country of outback Queensland the property includes frontage to the Wilson River. Occupying an area well over 2 million acres, which is approximately , almost the size as Puerto Rico with an area of , the property is able to carry 30,000 head of cattle on a good season. Wilson River (Queensland)
The Wilson River, part of the Lake Eyre Basin, is an ephemeral river located in the Channel Country in western Queensland, Australia. The Wilson River rises on the slopes of the Grey Range and flows generally northwest through the Nockanoora (or Noccundra) waterhole and is joined by two minor tributaries before reaching its confluence with the Cooper Creek at what was known as Depot Camp (Camp 63). Stock Route
A stock route, also known as travelling stock route (TSR), is an authorised thoroughfare for the walking of domestic livestock such as sheep or cattle from one location to another in Australia. The stock routes across the country are colloquially known as The Long Paddock or Long Paddock. A travelling stock route may often be distinguished from an ordinary country road by the fact that the grassy verges on either side of the road are very much wider, and the property fences being set back much further from the roadside than is usual, or open stretches of unfenced land. The reason for this is so that the livestock may feed on the vegetation that grows on the verges as they travel, especially in times of drought.
