Bulgarian Progressive Line
The Bulgarian Progressive Line ( bg, Българска прогресивна линия, Bŭlgarska progresivna liniya, BPL) is a democratic socialist and left-wing political party in Bulgaria. It has been the successor of the Bulgarian Liberal Party. History The party was created in the winter of 2020–2021 by several progressive deputies of the National Assembly of Bulgaria who split from the Bulgarian Socialist Party. The BPL participated in the April 2021 Bulgarian parliamentary election but did not meet the electoral threshold. The party had 3,751 votes (0.15%). 2021 Bulgarian General Election
General elections were held in Bulgaria on 14 November 2021 to elect both the President and the National Assembly. They were the country's third parliamentary elections in 2021, with no party able to form a government after the elections in April and July. A second round of the presidential elections were held on 21 November 2021 as no candidate was able to receive a majority of the vote in the first round. April 2021 Bulgarian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Bulgaria on 4 April 2021 at the end of the term of National Assembly members elected in 2017. Parties in the governing coalition led by Boyko Borisov lost seats and no party leader was able to form a coalition government within the time limit. This triggered the July 2021 Bulgarian parliamentary election. The National Assembly ( bg, Народно събрание, Narodno sabranie) is the unicameral parliament and legislative body of the Republic of Bulgaria.
