Bulgaria In The Eurovision Song Contest 2018
Bulgaria participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with the song "Bones" written by Borislav Milanov, Joacim Bo Persson, Trey Campbell and Dag Lundberg. The song was performed by the group Equinox. The Bulgarian broadcaster Bulgarian National Television (BNT) organised the internal selection process ''BG Song 2018'' in order to select the Bulgarian entry for the 2018 contest in Lisbon, Portugal. On 12 March 2018, BNT announced that Equinox had been selected to compete with "Bones", which was presented to the public on the same day. Bulgaria was drawn to compete in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 8 May 2018. Performing during the show in position 19, "Bones" was announced among the top 10 entries of the first semi-final and therefore qualified to compete in the final on 12 May. Equinox (Bulgarian Band)
Equinox was a supergroup of five artists that represented Bulgaria in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon with the song "Bones", coming 14th with 166 points. Equinox was the first Bulgarian band with a contract with Universal. The five-member band consisted of Bulgarian singers Zhana Bergendorff, Georgi Simeonov, and Vladimir Mihaylov, and American singers Johnny Manuel and Trey Campbell. AFAS Live (formerly known as the Heineken Music Hall) is a concert hall in Amsterdam, Netherlands, near the Johan Cruyff Arena. Deep Zone Project
Deep Zone Project is a Bulgarian house/ electro band formed in 1998 by DJ Dian Solo, JuraTone and Rossko. They are most famous for their collaboration with DJ Balthazar, representing Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the song " DJ, Take Me Away". The band has released five albums and has had a number of successful singles on the Bulgarian charts and has won many national and international awards. Their vocalist until early 2011 was Yoanna Dragneva; after leaving for a solo career, she was replaced by Nadia. Formation Deep Zone Project was formed in 1998 by three musicians, DJs and studio engineers. They were DJ Dian Solo (Dian Savov), JuraTone (Lyubomir Savov, Dian's father) and Rossko (Rosen Stoev). Bulgaria participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the song "DJ, Take Me Away" written by Dian Savov. The song was performed by the group Deep Zone and Balthazar. The Bulgarian broadcaster Bulgarian National Television (BNT) organised the national final ''EuroBGvision'' in order to select the Bulgarian entry for the 2008 contest in Belgrade, Serbia. A total of 63 entries were selected to participate in the national final which consisted of five shows: three quarter-finals, a semi-final and a final, where "DJ, Take Me Away" performed by Deep Zone and Balthazar eventually emerged as the winning entry with 15.37% of the public televote. BNT 1 () is a Bulgarian-language public television station founded in 1959. It began broadcasting on December 26 the same year. The headquarters are located in Sofia, Bulgaria. BNT 1 is run by the Bulgarian National Television.
