Buikwe, sometimes spelled Buyikwe, is a town in Buikwe District, Uganda. It is the administrative center of the district and the location of the district headquarters. Njeru is a town in Buikwe District, in the Central Region of Uganda. It is the largest town in the district. It is mainly a residential town. Michael Lulume Bayigga is a Ugandan physician and politician. He served as the Acting Secretary General of the Democratic Party from 2007 until 2010. The flag of Uganda ( Ugandan Languages: ''Bendera ya Uganda'') was adopted on 9 October 1962, the date that Uganda became independent from the British Empire.
