Budjerah
Budjerah Slabb, known mononymously as Budjerah, is an Aboriginal Australian singer-songwriter from Fingal Head, New South Wales. He is a Coodjinburra man from the Bundjalung nation. His debut single "Missing You" was released in October 2020. Budjerah performed the track live for Australian live music program '' The Sound'' on 6 December 2020. After winning the Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist award at the 2021 ARIA Awards, Budjerah went on to release his debut EP “Conversations” in April 2022 and launched his first-ever global tour. Early life Budjerah Slabb was born in 2002. His parents are licensed pastors. Budjerah told NME "When I was born… it was like 'oh, we gotta do band rehearsal, we gotta do worship practice for Sunday' and I'd come along to that. Budjerah (EP)
''Budjerah'' is the debut extended play (EP) by Australian singer-songwriter Budjerah. It was released for digital download and streaming on 26 March 2021 by Warner Music Australia. On 27 August 2021, a special edition of the EP was released on CD, which included the four tracks from ''Budjerah'' and four new tracks. Follow its physical release, the EP debuted at number 72 on the ARIA Albums Chart. At the 2021 ARIA Music Awards, the EP was nominated for Best Soul/R&B Release and Breakthrough Artist - Release. Budjerah was nominated for Best Artist while Matt Corby and Chris Collins received nominations in ARIA Award for Producer of the Year and Engineer of the Year for their work on this release. 2021 ARIA Music Awards
The 2021 ARIA Music Awards are the 35th Annual Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards (generally known as ARIA Music Awards or simply The ARIAs) and consist of a series of awards, including the 2021 ARIA Artisan Awards, ARIA Hall of Fame Awards, ARIA Fine Arts Awards and the ARIA Awards. The ARIA Awards ceremony occurred on 24 November 2021 in partnership with YouTube Music and streamed live on YouTube, and broadcast via 9Now. The main ceremony was hosted by Linda Marigliano at the Taronga Zoo. "Stranger Love" is a song by Australian electronic trio Pnau and Australian singer Budjerah, released through Etcetc on 28 May 2021. Both artists revealed the collaboration on their social media prior to its release. The song was released on 28 May 2021. Ngaire Laun Joseph (born 1984, in Lae), known by her stage name Ngaiire (pronounced ''ny-ree'' or /naɪəriː/), is a Papua New Guinea-born Australian-based R&B and future soul singer-songwriter. Her musical career commenced in 2003 with an enrollment in a bachelor of Jazz Studies at the Central Queensland University (CQU). Ainslie Wills is an Australian singer-songwriter. Career 2005–2011: Early EPs After graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2005, Wills recorded and produced her debut recording. She collaborated with fellow VCA graduate Lawrence Folvig (Guitar) and Mirra Seigerman (Drums). Maya Cumming (born 2001), known professionally as MAY-A (stylised in all caps), is an Australian singer-songwriter from Sydney, New South Wales. On 2 February 2022, Cumming was featured on the single " Say Nothing", a collaboration with Australian electronic musician and producer Flume. Pnau
Pnau ( ) is an Australian dance music trio originating from Sydney. The trio, a duo before 2016, consists of the musicians Nick Littlemore (vocals, production), Peter Mayes (guitar, production) and Sam Littlemore (production), with the latter joining in 2016. Pnau has achieved multiple successes with their award-winning 1999 first album ''Sambanova'' and the widely acclaimed 2007 release ''Pnau''. Pnau is also recognised for a heavily publicised apprenticeship under the musician Elton John, who signed the duo after listening to the ''Pnau'' album.
