Budapesti Korcsolyázó Egylet
Budapesti Korcsolyázó Egylet ( en, Budapest Skating Club, commonly abbreviated BKE) is a Budapest based ice skating sports association. Founded in 1869, it is one of the oldest of its kind in Hungary. They actively participate in competitive ice skating disciplines, such as figure skating, speed skating, and short track speed skating. BKE also had an ice hockey team, which played their first official game in 1906, and won the OB I bajnokság, Hungarian Championship title seven times. László Szollás
László (Ladislaus) Szollás (13 November 1907 – 4 October 1980) was a Hungarian world champion and Olympic medalist pair skater. Early life Szollas was Jewish. He attended the Ludovika Military Academy in the Horthy era.. Krisztina Czakó
Krisztina Czakó (born 17 December 1978) is a Hungarian former figure skater. She is the 1997 European silver medalist and 1994 Skate Canada International champion. Career Czakó was born in Budapest, Hungary. Her mother Klara was a speed skater, while her father and coach György Czakó was himself a figure skater and a former Hungarian men's national champion. György began teaching Krisztina how to skate before she was a year old, making her a pair of skates himself when none could be found that were small enough to fit her. Czakó was the youngest athlete to compete in the 1992 Winter Olympics, at age 13 years and 2 months. She was so young that she was still able to compete in the World Junior Championship in 1994 and 1995 (finishing second and third, respectively), despite her Olympic experience. Ede Király (23 February 1926 – 10 August 2009) was a Hungarian figure skater. As a competitor in men's singles, he was a three-time World Figure Skating Championships, World medalist (silver in 1949 and 1950, bronze in 1948), the 1950 European Figure Skating Championships, 1950 European champion, and a six-time Hungarian Figure Skating Championships, Hungarian national champion.
