Bucaspor Ladies Football Team ( tr, Bucaspor Bayan Futbol Takımı) is the women's football team of Bucaspor in Buca, Izmir Province, İzmir, Turkey. Established in 2005, Bucaspor is playing in the Turkish Women's Football Premier League since the 2007–09 season. The team was runner-up in the seasons 2007–08 and 2008–09. Buca
Buca (, ) is a district of İzmir Province, Turkey. It is one of the main urban districts of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality. The Turkish Women's Football Super League ( tr, Kadınlar Süper Ligi), formerly the First Women's Football League (also known as the ''Turkcell Women's Football Super League'' for sponsorship reasons), is the top level women's football league of Turkey. In the 2022–23 season, one group of 10 teams and one group of nine teams play a double round robin and finals to decide a champion club, which qualifies for a spot in the UEFA Women's Champions League. Bucaspor
Bucaspor was a professional Turkish football club based in Buca, Izmir. Formed in 1928, Bucaspor were nicknamed Fırtına (Storm). The club colours were yellow and navy. It was dissolved in 2020. History Bucaspor was the fifth football club to be based in Izmir, following Karşıyaka S.K. (1912), Altay S.K. (1914), Altınordu S.K. (1923), and Göztepe A.Ş. (1925). Yellow and navy were chosen for the club colours. Former president Yusuf Muhafiz pushed to make red one of the colours of the club, to distinguish it from Istanbul-based club Fenerbahçe. The colour has since been removed. Bucaspor merged with Altay and Altınordu as Üçokspor in 1937. These clubs were separated again in 1939. Bilgesu Aydın (born June 8, 1994) is a Turkish women's football goalkeeper currently playing in the Turkish Women's First Football League for Konak Belediyespor in İzmir with jersey number 88. She is member of the Turkey women's national team. Bilgesu Aydın was born in Denizli on June 8, 1994. She studied physical education and sports at Ege University in Izmir. Playing career She began football playing encouraged by her mother, who took her to the local football club in Izmir, where the family moved to, and registered her. Ezgi Çağlar (born July 3, 1991) is a Turkish women's football goalkeeper currently playing in the Turkish Women's First Football League for Fenerbahçe in İstanbul with jersey number 1. Hanife Demiryol (born September 19, 1992) is a Turkish women's football midfielder currently playing in the Turkish Women's Second Football League for Akdeniz Nurçelik Spor with jersey number 91. Melis Özçiğdem (born October 26, 1982), aka Meliz Özçiğdem, is a Turkish FIFA listed football referee and former international women's footballer. She is a teacher of physical education at a secondary school in Konak, İzmir.
