Buak Hard Public Park
Buak Hat Public Park ( th, สวน สธารณะ หนอง บวก หาด) is a public park located in the southwest corner of Chiang Mai’s old city. It is open every day from 0500 - 2100. It is a place for local people and tourists to visit and is a location for many of Chiang Mai’s festivals such as the Chiang Mai Flower Festival, Flower Festival. The full name is 'suan satarana nong buak hat' - the first part means 'garden public' and the name: หนอง บวก หาด 'nong buak hat' can translate as 'marsh improved [to] beach' - this was probably a part of the city that collected all the water, so it became a park. The final sound is a 'd', but there ''is'' a slight 'r' before it. The sign over the entrance has the English transliteration as "Hard." Variations range from 'hat,' 'haad,' or 'had.' Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai Flower Festival
Chiang Mai Flower Festival ( th, มหกรรม ไม้ ดอกไม้ ประดับ จังหวัด เชียงใหม่, link=no) is an annual event celebrating flowers and ornamental plants in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The festival lasts 3 days and begins at the first weekend of February to mark the end of the cool season. Yellow and white chrysanthemums, and damask roses, a variety of flower found only in Chiang Mai, are displayed. Flower Festival parade The Flower Festival Parade typically begins early Saturday morning, and can continue on into the afternoon or evening. The flower parade lines up along Charoen Muang Road, from the Nawarat Bridge to the train station. At 16:00 the parade starts and moves up Tha Phae Road to Tha Phae Gate. Sepak Takraw
Sepak takraw, or Sepaktakraw, also called kick volleyball, is a team sport played with a ball made of rattan or synthetic plastic between two teams of two to four players on a court resembling a badminton court. It is similar to volleyball and footvolley in its use of a rattan ball and players using only their feet, knees, shoulders, chest and head to touch the ball. Sepak Takraw is often referred to as a mixture of volleyball, due to its use of a net, and association football, as players use their feet. The sport's modern version was introduced, developed and standardized in 1960 when officials from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Myanmar met in Kuala Lumpur to agree on a name and standard rules for it. Ixora
''Ixora'' is a genus of flowering plants in the family Rubiaceae. It is the only genus in the tribe Ixoreae. It consists of tropical evergreen trees and shrubs and holds around 544 species. Though native to the tropical and subtropical areas throughout the world, its centre of diversity is in Tropical Asia. ''Ixora'' also grows commonly in subtropical climates in the United States, such as Florida where it is commonly known as West Indian jasmine.
