Bryan Josh
Bryan Josh (born 1967) is a multi-instrumentalist who is the founder of British progressive rock band Mostly Autumn. While primarily being the band's lead singer (previously with Heidi Widdop and Heather Findlay, and presently with Olivia Sparnenn) and lead guitarist, he has performed on many other instruments in the studio, which include the bass guitar, piano and keyboards. He, either alone or with other members of the band, has written a large percentage of the band's back catalogue. Progressive Rock
Progressive rock (shortened as prog rock or simply prog; sometimes conflated with art rock) is a broad genre of rock music that developed in the United Kingdom and United States through the mid- to late 1960s, peaking in the early 1970s. They produce music heavily influenced by 1970s progressive rock. Breathing Space
Breathing Space are a band formed in 2006 by Mostly Autumn keyboardist Iain Jennings. Some of the members had played on his solo album ''Breathing Space (album)'' and formed a band to tour this record. They became a full-time band in 2007 when they released their first album as a band. This was called ''Coming Up for Air''. Mark Rowen left the band in early 2009 and was replaced by Mostly Autumn guitarist Liam Davison, but he was then in turn replaced by Bryan Josh after playing only three live shows with the band. Bryan's appointment was only temporary and the band placed an advertisement in ''Classic Rock Magazine'' in an attempt to find a permanent replacement. During Liam's stint with the band, they recorded their second album as a whole band which is titled ''Below the Radar''. This was released in August 2009, with a special pre-release run of 100 copies selling out at the Cambridge Rock Festival. Multi-instrumentalist
A multi-instrumentalist is a musician who plays two or more musical instruments at a professional level of proficiency. Also known as doubling, the practice allows greater ensemble flexibility and more efficient employment of musicians, where a particular instrument may be employed only briefly or sporadically during a performance. Doubling is not uncommon in orchestra (e.g., flutists who double on piccolo) and jazz (saxophone/flute players); double bass players might also perform on electric bass. In music theatre, a pit orchestra's reed players might be required to perform on multiple instruments. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Through These Eyes
''Through These Eyes'' is the debut solo album by Bryan Josh of Mostly Autumn. He plays all the instruments on the album except the drums and flute parts. Gavin Griffiths of Karnataka, Panic Room and Mostly Autumn played most of the drums on the album with Henry Borne, Mostly Autumn drummer during the 2008 shows, playing drums on two of the tracks. The two tracks Borne played on were songs left over from Mostly Autumn's '' Glass Shadows'' sessions and they can be heard in instrumental form on the bonus DVD that came with the special edition of '' Glass Shadows''. The album also features Mostly Autumn bandmate Olivia Sparnenn on a few tracks singing lead, harmony and backing vocals.
