Bruno Zambrini
Bruno Zambrini (born 5 April 1935) is an Italian composer and record producer. Born in Francavilla al Mare, Chieti, Zambrini graduated in composition at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory. In the 1960s he became a successful composer of pop songs, notably signing several hits by Gianni Morandi and Patty Pravo's "La bambola" Also active as a record producer, Zambrini composed many musical film scores, often collaborating with Andrea and Paolo Amati; he was nominated to David di Donatello twice, in 2006 for ''Notte prima degli esami'' and in 2009 for ''Many Kisses Later''. Francavilla Al Mare
Francavilla al Mare () is a ''comune'' and town in the province of Chieti, in the Abruzzo region of Italy. The municipality, included in the urban area of Pescara, borders with Chieti, Miglianico, Ortona, Pescara, Ripa Teatina, San Giovanni Teatino and Torrevecchia Teatina. History The area was inhabited since prehistory, and early remains have been found at St. Cecilia. In 1162 the village was granted immunity from taxes for 12 years, and this episode also gave origin to the name "Francavilla" (meaning "free town"). The harbour was a flourishing commercial key point in the Adriatic Sea, but in the 16th century was plundered by Turkish troops. The town was held by families such as the Caracciolo and D'Avalos in the following centuries. Chieti
Chieti (, ; , nap, label= Abruzzese, Chjïétë, ; gr, Θεάτη, Theátē; lat, Theate, ) is a city and ''comune'' (municipality) in Central Italy, east by northeast of Rome. It is the capital of the province of Chieti in the Abruzzo region. In Italian, the adjectival form is ''teatino'' and inhabitants of Chieti are called ''teatini''. Santa Cecilia Conservatory
The Conservatorio di Musica Santa Cecilia is a state conservatory in Rome. History The institution has its roots dated back to the Congregazione de' musici di Roma named after Saint Cecilia in 1565 (now Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia). Since the early 19th century there was need of a music school in the institution. It was only due to the pianist Giovanni Sgambati that led to the opening of the musical institute on 23 May 1870. In 1911, the Liceo Musicale became an independent entity, and was nationalized in 1919. Only after, it assumed its current name. Since the 2008/09 academic year, the conservatory also operates at the Parco della Musica Villa Battistini in Rieti. The branch at Sant'Andrea delle Fratte was inaugurated on 1 October 2013. Gianni Morandi
Gianni Morandi (; born 11 December 1944) is an Italian pop singer, actor and entertainer. Early life Gian Luigi Morandi was born in a little village called Monghidoro on the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. His father Renato was active within the Italian Communist Party and Gianni used to help him sell the party newspapers. At an early age Morandi worked as a shoe-shiner, cobbler and as a vendor of sweets in the village's only cinema. His vocal abilities led him to a number of small gigs, some of which were during the Communist Party's activities. Career He made his debut in 1962 and quickly placed high at or won a number of Italian popular song festivals, including the ''Canzonissima'' festival in 1969. In 1962 he was signed by RCA Italiana and achieved national stardom with the song "Fatti mandare dalla mamma", and remained Italy's darling throughout that decade.
