Bruno Pereirinha
Bruno Alexandre Marques Pereirinha (born 2 March 1988) is a Portuguese former footballer. He played mainly as a right midfielder, also being able to operate as an attacking right-back. He spent most of his professional career with Sporting CP, appearing in 145 official matches over five seasons (six goals scored) and winning three major titles, including two Taça de Portugal. Abroad, he had spells at Lazio in Italy and Athletico Paranaense of Brazil. All youth levels comprised, Pereirinha won 53 caps for Portugal, including 23 for the under-21s. 2008–09 Taça Da Liga
The 2008–09 Taça da Liga was the second edition of the Taça da Liga, also known as Carlsberg Cup due to sponsorship reasons. The first matches were played on 2 August 2008 and the final was held on 21 March 2009 at the Estádio Algarve in Faro. Present for the second time in the final of this competition, Sporting CP were once again defeated 3–2 on penalties, this time by their rivals Benfica. Format After the first season, a change in the format was approved by the Portuguese League for Professional Football. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. The 2007–08 UEFA Cup was the 37th edition of the UEFA Cup, UEFA's second-tier club football tournament. The final was played at the City of Manchester Stadium, Manchester, England on 14 May 2008 between Rangers of Scotland and Zenit Saint Petersburg of Russia. Miguel Luís Pinto Veloso (; born 11 May 1986) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for and captains Italian club Hellas Verona.
