Birgit Brüel
Birgit Brüel (born 6 October 1927 – died 23 February 1996) was a Danish singer and actress who participated in the 1965 Eurovision Song Contest. Brüel's professional career began in 1950 when she joined the Max Brüel Quartet as a jazz singer, and began training at the Danish Royal drama school. She married Brüel in 1951 and gave birth to twin daughters the following year (she also had one daughter from her first marriage, which had ended in divorce in 1949). During the 1950s she became well known as a theatre and screen actress, and between 1961 and 1966 she sang with the Danish Radio Jazz Group. In 1965, Brüel entered the Danish Eurovision selection, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, which she won with the song "For din skyld" ("For Your Sake"). Joachim Bruel
Joachim Bruel (''Brulius''; died June 29, 1653) was a theologian and historian, born early in the seventeenth century at Vorst, a village of the province of Brabant, Belgium. After entering the order to assist in the establishment of Augustinians he was sent to Bourges, France, to finish his studies in philosophy and theology. At Bourges he received the degree of Master in Sacred Theology. In 1638 he was chosen prior of the convent of his order at Cologne. Twice afterwards (1640 and 1649) he filled the office of prior provincial. He is of special interest to the student of Peruvian and Chinese missions. Patrick Benguigui (; born 14 May 1959), better known by his stage name Patrick Bruel (), is a French singer-songwriter, actor and professional poker player. Biography Early life Patrick is the son of Pierre Benguigui and Augusta Kammoun, daughter of Elie and Céline ben Sidoun. In his youth, Bruel aspired to be a football player, but decided instead to pursue singing after seeing Michel Sardou in 1975.
