Bruce Chandler
Bruce Q. Chandler (born May 7, 1952) is an American businessman and politician from Washington. Chandler is a Republican member of the Washington House of Representatives, representing District 15, Position 1 since 1999. Career In 1985, Chandler became the owner and operator of Chandler Ranches Limited Liability Company, a commercial fruit orchard. On November 3, 1998, Chandler won the election and became a Republican member of Washington House of Representatives for District 15, Position 1. Chandler defeated Walter J. Braten with 62.04% of the votes. On November 3, 2020, as an incumbent, Chandler won the election, and continued serving as a member of Washington House of Representatives for District 15, Position 1. Washington House Of Representatives
The Washington House of Representatives is the lower house of the Washington State Legislature, and along with the Washington State Senate makes up the legislature of the U.S. state of Washington. James Dwight Honeyford (born January 24, 1939) is an American politician of the Republican Party. He served as a member of the Washington State Senate, representing the 15th district between 1999 and 2023. Early life and education Honeyford was born in Ontario, Oregon. Everett is the county seat and largest city of Snohomish County, Washington, United States. It is north of Seattle and is one of the main cities in the metropolitan area and the Puget Sound region. Everett is the seventh-largest city in the state by population, with 110,629 residents as of the 2020 census. The city is primarily situated on a peninsula at the mouth of the Snohomish River along Port Gardner Bay, an inlet of Possession Sound (itself part of Puget Sound), and extends to the south and west. Granger, Washington
Granger is a city in Yakima County, Washington, United States. The population was 3,624 at the 2020 census. Although it was classified as a town in 2000, it has since been reclassified as a city. History Granger was founded in 1902 and named after Walter Granger, superintendent of the Washington Irrigation Company who also laid out the cities of Zillah and Sunnyside. Granger was officially incorporated on September 28, 1909. In the 1910s and 20's, the town had several large industries including a tile and brick company and a cider mill. The Granger Farm Workers Camp, which opened in May, 1941 two miles north of the city, became known as the Crewport, Washington Farm Labor Camp. It was built by the Farm Security Administration to house Dust Bowl refugees, initially White, and later Mexican Americans, who were brought in to work in the Yakima Valley as a result of World War II labor shortages. Zillah, Washington
Zillah is a city in Yakima County, Washington, United States, with a population of 3,179 as of the 2020 census. History Zillah was founded in 1891 following the completion of the Sunnyside Canal project, an irrigation scheme delivering water from the Yakima River to the arid lower Yakima Valley. Walter Granger, superintendent of the canal company, chose the town site in 1892. The town was named for Miss Zillah Oakes, daughter of Thomas Fletcher Oakes, who, as president of the Northern Pacific Railway, had backed the building of the canal. The town was named after Miss Zillah because she would scream and cry on the way to the new town, while on the trip her father promised to name the town after her if she would stop.
