Bruce Bradley (–2013) was an American radio personality of the 20th century. Biography Bradley was born and raised in Rochester, New York. As a youth, he taught himself not to stutter by talking repeatedly into a tape recorder. He started in radio as a teenager in Upstate New York, working in Rochester, Troy, and Albany. He was the afternoon drive time man at WROW in Albany and a television weatherman on WTEN-TV, also in Albany. Bradley joined WBZ-AM in Boston in 1960 and had perhaps his greatest fame and success there as rock-and-roll disc jockey "Juicy Brucie" Bradley. When Bradley joined WBZ the station was playing middle of the road (music), middle of the road music. But it soon transitioned toward rock-and-roll oriented top 40 fare and become the dominant radio station in the Boston market,, and Bradley a popular evening disc jockey doing the daily top-10 countdown. WCAU (channel 10) is a television station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States, airing programming from the NBC network. KTRS (550 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in St. Louis, Missouri. The station airs a talk radio format with some sports. The station is owned by KTRS-AM License, L.L.C., a consortium of local investors which includes actor and St. Louis native John Goodman. KTRS's studios and offices are located in Westport Plaza in Maryland Heights. KTRS broadcasts with 5,000 watts of power, day and night. KETC, virtual channel 9 ( UHF digital channel 23), is a PBS member television station licensed to St. Louis, Missouri, United States. The station is owned by St. Louis Regional Public Media. KETC's studios are located at the Dana Brown Communications Center on Olive Street in St. Louis' Grand Center neighborhood, and its transmitter is located in South St. Louis County. History The station first signed on the air on September 20, 1954. It was the first community-licensed educational television station in the United States. The station's first general manager was Charles Guggenheim, who hired the technical staff and first group of producer/director/writers, five in all.
