Bros Music
Bros Music is a Central European record label owned by the major record company Sony Music Entertainment. The label is based in Germany and is the home to several successful chart acts, including E-Rotic, Marya Roxx, Bad Boys Blue, Gracia, Chris Norman and Virus Incorporation. The label was also the home of the girl group Vanilla Ninja from mid-2004 to late 2005, before the group parted company with Bros on bad terms. Bros Records is the primary home of all artists managed by David Brandes. Chris Norman
Christopher Ward Norman (born 25 October 1950) is an English soft rock singer. Norman was the original lead singer of the English rock band Smokie (band), Smokie, (1964–1986), who found success in Europe in the 1970s. "Stumblin' In", a 1978 duet with Suzi Quatro, was a big US hit. Life and career With the advent of rock and roll, Norman acquired his first guitar at the age of seven. David Brandes
David Brandes (born David Brändle; December 9, 1968 in Basel, Switzerland) is a Swiss-born German songwriter and producer. Biography Brandes was born in Basel, Switzerland and raised in Germany. He has written and produced for many artists, including E-Rotic, Bad Boys Blue, Chris Norman, Lemon Ice and Vanilla Ninja. Brandes also had two hits in Europe during 1994, with "Heartbreak Angel" and "Heartless Dancer". In 1995, Brandes was profiled in ''Billboard'' magazine as one of Germany's top producers. In 2005, it was revealed that Brandes had bought hundreds of his own CDs ( Gracia, Vanilla Ninja, Virus Incorporation) to manipulate the charts. Vanilla Ninja
Vanilla Ninja is an Estonian all-female rock band which enjoyed chart success in a number of countries across Europe, especially in Estonia, Germany and Austria. The group formed in 2002 and released their self-titled debut album ''Vanilla Ninja'', containing songs in both English and Estonian, the following year. After their debut single "Club Kung Fu" was released in 2003, the girls had many hits in Central Europe, including "Tough Enough", "When the Indians Cry", "Blue Tattoo" and "I Know". They also entered Estonian national selections for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 and 2007, failing both times, but proved successful in 2005, when they represented Switzerland with the song "Cool Vibes". Girl Group
A girl group is a music act featuring several female singers who generally harmonize together. The term "girl group" is also used in a narrower sense in the United States to denote the wave of American female pop music singing groups, many of whom were influenced by doo-wop and which flourished in the late 1950s and early 1960s between the decline of early rock and roll and start of the British Invasion. Gracia Arabella Baur (born 18 November 1982) is a German singer and songwriter. She rose to fame as a finalist on the debut season of the television series ''Deutschland sucht den Superstar'', the German ''Idol'' series adaptation, placing fifth. Bad Boys Blue are the German pop group formed in Cologne in 1984. The group performed many international hits including "You're a Woman", " Pretty Young Girl", " I Wanna Hear Your Heartbeat", and "Come Back and Stay". The group became massively popular in Eastern Europe, South America, and South Africa, with the band performing to sell-out crowds in Russia and Ukraine. Marya Roxx (born Maarja Kivi on 18 January 1986) is an Estonian hard rock/metal singer-songwriter residing in Los Angeles. She is a former member of the Estonian girl band Vanilla Ninja. Background When the girl band Vanilla Ninja was founded in 2003, Kivi was selected as one of the solo singers and the bass player. She recorded two albums with the band, ''Vanilla Ninja'' and ''Traces Of Sadness''. She left the group in mid-2004.
