Abed Nadir
Abed Gubi Nadir ( ''‘Ābid al-Qūbī Nādir'') is a fictional character on the NBC/Yahoo! Screen sitcom series ''Community'', created by Dan Harmon and portrayed by Danny Pudi. Talkative, literal, and sometimes overly pedantic, Abed is a student at Greendale Community College and one of the first members of the study group central to the series. He is a pop-culture enthusiast, with extensive knowledge of TV shows and movies, as well as a passion for filmmaking. Because of his knowledge of television tropes, Abed usually serves as the self-aware bridge between ''Community'' and the real world, often pointing out the motifs and precedents taking place in each episode, usually without breaking the fourth wall. Abed's unusual social behavior and special interests insinuate that he is on the autism spectrum, as suggested by Dan Harmon and stated by other characters on the show. He is generally beloved by members of the study group and enjoys a close bond with Troy Barnes (Donald Gl ...

Jeff Winger
Jeffrey Tobias "Jeff" Winger is a fictional character and the main protagonist of the American television sitcom ''Community''. He is portrayed by Joel McHale and first appeared in the pilot episode of ''Community''. Jeff was created by producer Dan Harmon, who briefly attended Glendale Community College. While at Glendale Community College, Harmon became involved in a Spanish study group. Harmon designed the character of Jeff around himself, creating the character as a solipsistic narcissist. As the rational agent of his Spanish study group, Jeff is the self-proclaimed patriarchal leader of the study group. Jeff embodies a sardonic and cynic personality and traits of a stereotypical sociopath: he is manipulative, resentful, self-obsessed, derisive, megalomaniacal, and inveterate to lying. However, Jeff's abiding relationship to members of his study group eroded many of his sociopathic traits. Role in ''Community'' Jeffrey Tobias Winger is the son of William and Doreen Winger. J ...
