Britney Simpson
Britney Simpson (born May 5, 1996) is an American pair skater. With current partner Matthew Blackmer, she is the 2011 2011–2012 Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final, Junior Grand Prix Final bronze medalist, the 2012 2012 United States Figure Skating Championships, U.S. Junior silver medalist and the 2013 United States Figure Skating Championships, 2013 U.S. Junior Champion. With former partner Nathan Miller (figure skater), Nathan Miller, she is the 2010 United States Figure Skating Championships, U.S. junior silver medalist. Career Simpson was born in Denver, Colorado, and teamed up with Nathan Miller (figure skater), Nathan Miller in April 2008. Their partnership ended in 2011. Simpson teamed up with Blackmer in February 2011 after Miller's retirement. They train in Colorado Springs under coach Dalilah Sappenfield. United States Figure Skating Championships
The U.S. Figure Skating Championships is a figure skating competition held annually to crown the national champions of the United States. The competition is sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating. In the U.S. skating community, the event is often referred to informally as "Nationals". Medals are currently awarded in four disciplines: men's (boys') singles, ladies' (girls') singles, pair skating, and ice dancing in four colors: gold (first), silver (second), bronze (third), and pewter (fourth) on two levels, senior and junior. Medals were previously given at the novice, intermediate, and juvenile levels. World Junior Figure Skating Championships
The World Junior Figure Skating Championships (''"World Juniors"'' or ''"Junior Worlds"'') is an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union in which figure skaters within a designated age range compete for the title of World Junior champion. The ISU guidelines for junior eligibility have varied throughout the years – currently, skaters must be at least 13 years old but not yet 19 before the previous 1 July, except for men competing in pair skating and ice dancing where the age maximum is 21. James Horner
James Roy Horner (August 14, 1953 – June 22, 2015) was an American composer. He was known for the integration of choral and electronic elements, and for his frequent use of motifs associated with Celtic music. Tan Dun
Tan Dun (, ; born 18 August 1957) is a Chinese-born American composer and conductor. A leading figure of contemporary classical music, he draws from a variety of Western and Chinese influences, a dichotomy which has shaped much of his life and music. Having collaborated with leading orchestras around the world, Tan is the recipient of numerous awards, including a Grawemeyer Award for his opera ''Marco Polo'' (1996) and both an Academy Award and Grammy Award for his film score in Ang Lee's ''Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon'' (2000). Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (soundtrack)
''Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon'' is the original soundtrack album of the 2000 Academy Award- and Golden Globe Award-winning film ''Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon'' starring Yun-Fat Chow, Michelle Yeoh, Ziyi Zhang and Chen Chang. The score was composed by Tan Dun, originally performed by Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai National Orchestra, and Shanghai Percussion Ensemble. It also features many solo passages for cello played by Yo-Yo Ma. The "last track" (''A Love Before Time'') features Coco Lee. The music for the entire film was produced in two weeks. Bee Gees
The Bee Gees were a musical group formed in 1958 by brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb. "You Should Be Dancing" is a song by the Bee Gees, from the album ''Children of the World'', released in 1976. It hit No. 1 for one week on the American ''Billboard'' Hot 100, No. 1 for seven weeks on the US Hot Dance Club Play chart, and in September the same year, reached No. 5 on the UK Singles Chart.
