Brita Von Horn
Brita Clara Alice Augusta Florence von Horn (1 April 1886 – 14 February 1983) was a Swedish novelist, dramatist, director and theatre leader. She worked in the theatre scene in Stockholm and published several books. Career von Horn was born in Stockholm, Sweden and was the daughter of chamberlain Henning von Horn and baroness Florence Bonde. She was the aunt of major general Carl von Horn and colonel Jan von Horn. von Horn started several theatrical groups and was the first person to stage a play by Anton Chekhov in Sweden. In the early 1930s she started the Theater at Sveavägen, which however went bankrupt after only a few years. In 1940, she was a co-founder with Vilhelm Moberg and Helge Hagerman of the Dramatist Studio of Sweden ( sv, Sveriges dramatikers studio, ''Dramatikerstudion''). LIBRIS
LIBRIS (Library Information System) is a Swedish national union catalogue maintained by the National Library of Sweden in Stockholm. It is possible to freely search about 6.5 million titles nationwide. In addition to bibliographic records, one for each book or publication, LIBRIS also contains an authority file of people. For each person there is a record connecting name, birth and occupation with a unique identifier. The MARC Code for the Swedish Union Catalog is SE-LIBR, normalized: selibr. The development of LIBRIS can be traced to the mid-1960s. While rationalization of libraries had been an issue for two decades after World War II, it was in 1965 that a government committee published a report on the use of computers in research libraries. Helsingborg City Theatre
Helsingborg City Theatre ( sv, Helsingborgs stadsteater) is the city theatre of Helsingborg, Sweden. The present Helsingborg City Theatre was built in 1921, after the old Helsingborg Theatre (located at the same place, built in 1877) was demolished. The building was designed by the local architectural firm Arkitektfirman Arton. But even before that the location harboured a small theatre house dating back to 1821. Being a well-placed geographical link between Sweden and Denmark, Helsingborg has a proud and steady theatre tradition, particularly from European guest touring theatre companies. Elsa Sigrid Collin (3 October 1887 – 29 June 1941) was a Swedish theatre critic, poet and actress. Early life Collin was the daughter of Knut Johan August Collin, a doctor in Helsingborg, and Sigrid Elvira Eskilsson. Elsa's mother died when she was just two years old; her father later remarried. Career After finishing school in 1906, Collin completed her studentexamen in Gothenburg, and entered Lund University in 1907. Collin became the first woman at any Swedish university to be part of a student spex show playing the part of Susanna, the chambermaid, in a spex called ''Gerda''; the spex also went on a tour to Malmö and Helsingborg.
