BritWeek is a 501(c)(3) organization based in Los Angeles, California. It was founded by ''So You Think You Can Dance'' and American Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe, the former British Consul-General in Los Angeles Bob Peirce, Simon Wright and Paul J Wright Esq who serves as its General Counsel. Peirce is the Chairman of BritWeek Inc and Lythgoe is the President. Other board members are Fiona François, Mike Krycler, Sharon Harroun Peirce, Barry Waldo, and Neil Stiles. The Executive Director is Lauren Stone. BritWeek is primarily known for its annual program of events held in Los Angeles and Orange County each year. The first BritWeek was in 2007. The events are held annually every Spring from late April to early May. Paul J. Wright OBE (born February 10, 1955) is an attorney. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1987 and the California Bar in 1990. Biography Born in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, he studied Law at the University of Buckingham before being called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1987. In 1990, Wright was admitted to The State Bar of California. Wright was on the faculty of Touro University California (2009-2012). Bob Peirce
Robert Nigel (Bob) Peirce is a British-American former diplomat, international policing consultant and author. Until July 2009 he was a British diplomat, serving as British Consul-General in Los Angeles. A former secretary for external affairs in the Hong Kong Government, he was a key negotiator with China on Hong Kong from the early 1980s through the handover in June 1997. Under the chairmanship of Christopher Patten, Peirce guided the work of the Independent Commission on Policing for Northern Ireland, whose seminal report provided a vital foundation for peace in Northern Ireland. Nigel Lythgoe OBE (; born 9 July 1949), also known as Nasty Nigel, is an English television and film director and producer, television dance competition judge, former dancer in the Young Generation and choreographer. He was the producer of the shows ''Pop Idol'' and ''American Idol'' and is the creator and executive producer of ''So You Think You Can Dance'', on which he served as a permanent judge for the first sixteen seasons. He also created the 2009 competition '' Superstars of Dance''.
