Erland Samuel Bring
Erland Samuel Bring (19 August 1736 – 20 May 1798) was a Swedish mathematician. Bring studied at Lund University between 1750 and 1757. In 1762 he obtained a position of a reader in history and was promoted to professor in 1779. At Lund he wrote eight volumes of mathematical work in the fields of algebra, geometry, analysis and astronomy, including ''Meletemata quaedam mathematica circa transformationem aequationum algebraicarum'' (1786). This work describes Bring's contribution to the algebraic solution of equations. Bring had developed an important transformation to simplify a quintic equation to the form x^5 + px + q = 0 (see Bring radical). In 1832–35 the same transformation was independently derived by George Jerrard. Posten Norge
Posten Norge () is the name of the Norwegian postal service. The company, owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Transport and Communications had a monopoly until 2016 on distribution of letters weighing less than 50g throughout the country. There are 30 post offices in Norway, in addition to 1400 outlets in retail stores. History Posten was founded in January 1647 as Postvesenet ("the postal system") by general post master Henrik Morian. It was established as a private company, and King Christian IV gave his blessing to the founding of the company. Postvesenet was privately run until 1719, when the state took over. From that point on, national postal service was a state monopoly. Local city postal services remained private, but in 1888 a new postal law was introduced which expanded the monopoly to the entire country. In 1933, Postvesenet was renamed Postverket. Peter Paul Brang (1852–1925) was a Viennese architect who worked in what are today the Czech Republic and Slovenia, as well as in Bulgaria and Romania. Maran Brang Seng
Maran Brang Seng, (16 June 1931 – 8 August 1994) was a Kachin politician and Chairman of the Kachin Independence Organization (KIO). Mr Maran Brang Seng Born in 1930 in Hpakan, Kachin State, Myanmar (Burma); educated in Kachin Baptist School, Myitkyina; entered Rangoon University in 1952 and obtained a BA and a BEd in 1955. Brang Seng was Burma's delegate to the YMCA to Singapore in 1957; headmaster of Myitkyina Baptist school 1957–60 and its principal 1961–63. In 1963 he went underground with Kachin Independence Organization. He led the first Kachin rebel delegation to China in 1967 and was Chairman of KIO since 1975. Made peace with the Communist Party of Burma in 1976 and led the delegation of National Democratic Front to the CPB's Panghsang headquarters in March 1986. He left Kachin State in late 1986 to travel abroad.
