Bridget Reweti
Bridget Reweti (active since 2000s) is a New Zealand photographer and moving image artist of Ngāti Ranginui and Ngāi Te Rangi descent. Reweti is a member of the artist group Mata Aho Collective. Education Reweti holds a Masters in Māori Visual Arts from Toioho ki Āpiti, the School of Māori Studies, Massey University. She also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Museum and Heritage Studies from Victoria University of Wellington. Career Reweti works with photography and moving image. Her work explores and subverts New Zealand iconic landscapes, and issues of contemporary indigenous realities. Reweti is a member of the Mata Aho Collective, a collaboration of four Māori women artists known for their large scale textile-based installations. Pātaka Art + Museum is a municipal museum and art gallery of Porirua City, New Zealand. Tauranga Art Gallery an Arts Gallery located in the Western Bay of Plenty District, New Zealand. The gallery exhibits historical and contemporary art. History In 1999 the Tauranga Art Gallery Trust purchased the former Bank of New Zealand building located on the corner of Willow and Wharf Streets. Plymouth Arts Cinema is an independent cinema based at Plymouth College of Art. It screens new independent cinema from all around the world, classic films, along with festivals, special events, and Open Air Cinema. documenta 14 was the fourteenth edition of the art exhibition documenta and took place in 2017 in both Kassel, Germany, its traditional home, and Athens, Greece.
