Brianna Beamish (born 4 September 1993 Surrey, Canada) is a Canadian volleyball player. She was part of the Canada women's national volleyball team, and participated at the 2017 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Grand Prix, and 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship. She played CIS women's volleyball for the UBC Okanagan Heat The UBC Okanagan Heat are the athletic teams that represent the University of British Columbia Okanagan in Kelowna, British Columbia and currently compete in the Canada West conference of U Sports. The Heat field varsity teams in basketball, cros ... for five seasons from 2011 to 2016. She finished her university career by contributing to the Heat's Bronze medal win in the 2016 CIS Women's Volleyball Championship. On a club level she plays for TS Volley Dudingen. UBC Okanagan Heat
The UBC Okanagan Heat are the athletic teams that represent the University of British Columbia Okanagan in Kelowna, British Columbia and currently compete in the Canada West conference of U Sports. The Heat field varsity teams in basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, and volleyball. History The Heat received probationary membership in Canada West in 2010 and had the men's and women's volleyball and men's and women's basketball teams begin competition there in the 2011–2012 season. The program was granted full membership in 2013 and the men's and women's soccer programs began competing in the 2014–2015 season. 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix
The 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix was the 25th edition of the annual women's international volleyball tournament played by 32 teams between 7 July and 6 August. The Group 1 Final Round was held in Nanjing, China. Defending champions Brazil won their record twelfth title in the tournament after a 3–2 win over Italy. Serbia captured their third bronze medal in the competition by defeating China in a rematch of the previous year's Olympic final. Natália Pereira from Brazil was elected the MVP for the second straight year. In the Group 2 finals held in Ostrava, Czech Republic, Poland defeated South Korea in straight sets. 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship
The 2018 FIVB Women's World Championship was the eighteenth edition of the event, contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of the ' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The final tournament was held in Japan from 29 September to 20 October 2018. The final four was held at the Yokohama Arena in Yokohama. Serbia won their first world title, defeating Italy in five sets at the final. This was the first all-European final in the Women's World Championship history and the first final since 1990 that not featured a team from the Americas. U Sports Women's Volleyball
U Sports women's volleyball is the highest level of amateur play of indoor volleyball in Canada and operates under the auspices of U Sports (formerly Canadian Interuniversity Sport). 41 teams from Canadian universities are divided into four athletic conferences, drawing from the four regional associations of U Sports: Canada West Universities Athletic Association (CW), Ontario University Athletics (OUA), Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ), and Atlantic University Sport (AUS). 2016 CIS Women's Volleyball Championship
The 2016 CIS Women's Volleyball Championship was held March 11–13, 2016, in Brandon, Manitoba, to determine a national champion for the 2015–16 CIS women's volleyball season. The tournament was played at the Healthy Living Centre and hosted by Brandon University. It was the first time that Brandon had hosted the tournament and coincided with the 10th anniversary of the Brandon Bobcats volleyball program. The OUA Champion Toronto Varsity Blues completed a perfect 25–0 season by defeating the defending champion Trinity Western Spartans in the gold medal match 3–0 to claim the first women's volleyball national championship in program history. Volleyball Players At The 2019 Pan American Games
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court.
