Brian Werner
Brian Werner is an American conservationist and the founder of the Tiger Missing Link Foundation and the Tiger Creek wildlife refuge. Werner participated in the first genetic study of tigers, published in ''Riding The Tiger'' (Cambridge University Press, 1999). Werner was involved with the first open heart surgery performed on a tiger. Conservation Biology
Conservation biology is the study of the conservation of nature and of Earth's biodiversity with the aim of protecting species, their habitats, and ecosystems from excessive rates of extinction and the erosion of biotic interactions. The tiger (''Panthera tigris'') is the largest living cat species and a member of the genus '' Panthera''. It is most recognisable for its dark vertical stripes on orange fur with a white underside. An apex predator, it primarily preys on ungulates, such as deer and wild boar.
