Brian Petrovek
Brian Petrovek (born March 24, 1955) is an American former ice hockey goaltender and hockey executive. He was selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the 10th round (172nd overall) of the 1975 NHL Amateur Draft, and was also drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the 11th round (143rd overall) of the 1975 WHA Amateur Draft. Petrovek attended Harvard University, where he played NCAA Division I hockey with the Harvard Crimson of the ECAC Hockey conference. As a goaltender, following his standout 1974-75 sophomore season, Petrovek was named to both the All-Ivy League First Team and the NCAA (East) First All-American Team. In his senior year Petrovek was named to the 1976-77 All-Ivy League First Team, and was also selected as the Most Valuable Player of the 1977 Beanpot. Harvard Crimson Men's Ice Hockey
The Harvard Crimson men's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey program that represents Harvard University. The Crimson are a member of ECAC Hockey. They play at the Bright Hockey Center in Boston, Massachusetts. The Crimson hockey team is one of the oldest college ice hockey teams in the United States, having played their first game on January 19, 1898, in a 0–6 loss to Brown. Stockton Heat
The Stockton Heat were a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL) that played from 2015 to 2022. The team was based in Stockton, California, and was affiliated with the National Hockey League (NHL) Calgary Flames. The Heat played its home games at Stockton Arena. It was a relocation of the Adirondack Flames, joining four other relocated AHL franchises in California that formed the basis for a Pacific Division following the 2014–15 season. Adirondack Thunder
The Adirondack Thunder are a professional ice hockey team in the ECHL that began play in the 2015–16 season. The team is based in Glens Falls, New York, and affiliated with the NHL's New Jersey Devils. The Thunder play their home games at the Cool Insuring Arena. The Thunder replaced the AHL's Adirondack Flames after they were relocated to Stockton, California, to become the Stockton Heat. The ECHL (formerly the East Coast Hockey League) is a mid-level professional ice hockey league based in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, with teams scattered across the United States and Canada. The Portland Pirates were a minor league professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL). Their home arena was the Cross Insurance Arena in downtown Portland, Maine. The franchise was previously known as the Baltimore Skipjacks from 1982 to 1993.
