Brian Davis (basketball)
Brian Keith Davis (born June 21, 1970) is an American former basketball player and businessman. A 6'7" guard-forward, Davis played college basketball at Duke Blue Devils and was a member of the 1991 and 1992 national championship teams. After graduation, Davis was drafted by the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association (NBA) but played in the Ligue Nationale de Basketball with Élan Béarnais Pau-Orthez during the 1992–93 season. He made his NBA debut with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the 1993–94 season. Davis played in 68 NBA games, averaged 5.5 minutes per game, and scored a total of 131 career points (1.9 per game). He maintains a close friendship with former Duke and Timberwolves teammate Christian Laettner, with the two pursuing multiple sports ventures together. Small Forward
The small forward (SF), also known as the three or swingman, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. Small forwards are typically shorter, quicker, and leaner than power forwards and centers but taller, larger, and stronger than either of the guard positions. They are strategic and are often relied upon to score, defend, create open lanes, and rebound for their team. The small forward is considered to be perhaps the most versatile of the five main basketball positions as they contribute offensively and defensively. Basketball At The 1995 Pan American Games
The Basketball Tournament at the 1995 Pan American Games was held in Mar del Plata, Argentina from March 19 to March 25, 1995. The women's tournament was cancelled because as of March 3, 1995, only four women's teams had signed up to play. All the games were held in Polideportivo Islas Malvinas, which was built for this edition of the Pan American Games. Argentina won their first Pan American Games after beating United States in the final.
