Bremen (album)
''Bremen'' is the third album by Kenshi Yonezu. It was released on October 7, 2015, by Universal Sigma. Background The album contained Yonezu's previously released singles "Flowerwall" and "Unbelievers" as well as "Mirage Song", which he had performed on Twitcasting. The title was inspired by Will-O-Wisp and the musicians of Bremen. Will-O-Wisp illustrates turning one's back on a prosperous life and going into the darkness; the musicians of Bremen grow jaded of their current life and decide to head to Bremen, but never reach the city. Yonezu wished to express the journey's importance over the destination. The album was released with three versions: an art book version with original illustrations by Yonezu; a video version containing a DVD with music videos; and a regular version with only a CD. Kenshi Yonezu
is a Japanese musician, singer-songwriter, record producer and illustrator who began releasing Vocaloid music under the stage name in 2009. In 2012, he debuted under his real name, releasing music with his own voice. He has sold at least 4.2 million physical copies and more than 7 million digital copies in Japan. Biography Early musical career Kenshi Yonezu was born on March 10, 1991, in the rural part of Tokushima, Japan. As a child, Yonezu found it difficult to communicate with other people, especially his father. Yonezu typically felt that his mother understood him. He was diagnosed with high-functioning autism after the age of 20. Yonezu's first foray into music was in 2006 during his second year of junior high school, where he formed a band with his friend Hiroshi Nakajima, called Late Rabbit Edda, to play for the school culture festival. The Musicians Of Bremen
The "Town Musicians of Bremen" (german: link=no, Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten) is a German fairy tale collected by the Brothers Grimm and published in ''Grimms' Fairy Tales'' in 1819 (KHM 27). It tells the story of four aging domestic animals, who after a lifetime of hard work are neglected and mistreated by their former masters. Eventually, they decide to run away and become town musicians in the city of Bremen. Contrary to the story's title the characters never arrive in Bremen, as they succeed in tricking and scaring off a band of robbers, capturing their spoils, and moving into their house. It is a story of Aarne–Thompson Type 130 ("Outcast animals find a new home"). Ichiyo Izawa
, better known by his stage name is a Japanese pianist, vocalist and songwriter, best known for his work in the Ringo Sheena-helmed band Tokyo Jihen. He is also the lead vocalist and pianist of the band Appa. Biography Izawa was born in 1976 in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture. His father Masanobu Izawa is the president of '' Kurabun Corporation''. Izawa began studying piano at the age of four, and by the age of 14 had also learned to play the guitar and was active in several bands in which he also served as the vocalist. In folklore, a will-o'-the-wisp, will-o'-wisp or ''ignis fatuus'' (, plural ''ignes fatui''), is an atmospheric ghost light seen by travellers at night, especially over bogs, swamps or marshes.
