The Brazil national football team participated in the 1982 FIFA World Cup, and in doing so maintained their record of being the only team to enter every World Cup Finals. Brazil played until the Second Group Round, where they were defeated by Italy. Brazil National Football Team
The Brazil national football team ( pt, Seleção Brasileira de Futebol), nicknamed ''Seleção Canarinho'' (‘Canary Squad’, after their bright yellow jersey), represents Brazil in men's international football and is administered by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), the governing body for football in Brazil. They have been a member of FIFA since 1923 and a member of CONMEBOL since 1916. USSR National Football Team
The Soviet Union national football team ( rus, сбо́рная СССР по футбо́лу, r=sbórnaya SSSR po futbólu) was the national football team of the former Soviet Union. After the breakup of the Union the team was transformed into the CIS national football team. FIFA considers the CIS national football team (and ultimately, the Russia national football team) as the Soviet successor team allocating its former records to them (except for the Olympic records which are not combined due to the IOC policy); nevertheless, a large percentage of the team's former players came from outside the Russian SFSR, mainly from the Ukrainian SSR, and following the breakup of the Soviet Union, some such as Andrei Kanchelskis from the former Ukrainian SSR, continued to play in the new Russia national football team. A group of death in a multi-stage tournament is a group which is unusually competitive, because the number of strong competitors in the group is greater than the number of qualifying places available for the next phase of the tournament. Thus, in the group phase, one or more strong competitors in the "group of death" will necessarily be eliminated, who would otherwise have been expected to progress further in the tournament. The informal term was first used for groups in the FIFA World Cup finals. It is now also used in other association football tournaments and other sports. Sérgio Bernardino (born 23 December 1953), known as Serginho Chulapa or simply Serginho, is a Brazilian football coach and retired professional footballer who played as a striker. Club career São Paulo Born in São Paulo, Serginho was a São Paulo youth graduate. David Narey
David Narey (born 12 June 1956) is a former Scottish international footballer who spent 21 years with Dundee United. With Narey United were Scottish champions once and league cup winners twice. He also played in numerous cup runs in Europe including playing in the 1983-84 European Cup semi final and the 1987 UEFA Cup Final. Although best remembered as a central defender, he occasionally played in midfield. After leaving United he won the 1994-95 Scottish League Cup with Raith Rovers. José Oscar Bernardi
José Oscar Bernardi (born 20 June 1954), known as Oscar, is a Brazilian former association footballer who played as a defender. He notably represented the Brazil national football team at international level, and played as a starter in defence at the 1978 and 1982 FIFA World Cups, while he was a reserve in 1986.
