Braydon Hobbs
Braydon Alexander Hobbs (born May 17, 1989) is a retired American professional basketball player. He played four seasons of college basketball for Bellarmine University where he was a key member of the Knights' 2011 championship winning team, helping the school claim their first NCAA Division II National Championship. He played professionally in Europe and Australia, winning two QBL championships with the Mackay Meteors in 2012 and 2015. Hobbs spent most of his professional career playing in Germany. High school career Hobbs attended New Albany High School in New Albany, Indiana where he played for coach Jim Shannon and became New Albany's all-time assists leader. As a senior in 2007–08, he averaged 16 points, 5.2 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game, and became the first Bulldog to record a triple-double. The JobStairs GIESSEN 46ers (formerly GIESSEN 46ers) is a professional basketball club based in Gießen, Germany, that plays in the Basketball Bundesliga. The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) (English language: ''Federal Basketball League''), for sponsorship reasons named easyCredit BBL, is the highest level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage. At the end of the league stage, the top eight teams qualify for the playoff stage, and the teams positioned in the 17th and 18th places are relegated to a lower-tier league. The playoffs are played in a "Best of five" format. The winning team of the final round are crowned the German Champions of that season. In addition to the league competition, all BBL teams compete for the German Basketball Cup. Jeremy Kendle
Jeremy Paul Kendle (born March 15, 1988) is an American professional basketball player for the Southland Sharks of the New Zealand National Basketball League (NZNBL). He played three seasons of college basketball for Bellarmine University, becoming the only player in school history to be named to the NABC All-America Team two years in a row. He was also a key member of the Bellarmine Knights' 2011 championship-winning team, helping the school claim their first NCAA Division II National Championship. Kendle moved to Australia in 2015 and saw immediate success, claiming the QBL Most Valuable Player award as a member of the Toowoomba Mountaineers. Bellarmine University (BU; ) is a private Catholic university in Louisville, Kentucky. It opened on October 3, 1950, as Bellarmine College, established by Archbishop John A. The NABC Player of the Year is an award given annually by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) to recognize the top player in men's college basketball. The award has been given since the 1974–75 season to National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I basketball players. 2011 NCAA Men's Division II Basketball Tournament
The 2011 NCAA Division II men's basketball tournament involved 64 schools playing in a single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division II college basketball as a culmination of the 2010–11 basketball season.
