Brannen Temple
Brannen Temple (born August 26, 1970) is an American three time Grammy Award winning drummer, who is best known as a drummer for acts such as Eric Burdon, Robben Ford, Lizz Wright, Eric Johnson (guitarist, born 1954), Eric Johnson, and currently Ruthie Foster. Born in Austin, Texas, he started playing drums at the age of 10, soon to play in school jazz bands. Since the early 1990s, Temple is an accomplished session drummer and played on records by Chris Duarte (musician), Chris Duarte, Patrice Rushen, Chris Smither, Abra Moore, Stephen Bruton, Jody Watley, Alejandro Escovedo, amongst others. In 1996, he was part of the first G3 (tour), G3 Tour, drumming for Eric Johnson (guitarist, born 1954), Eric Johnson and was featured on their 1997 live album ''G3: Live in Concert''. Turner Stephen Bruton (November 7, 1948 – May 9, 2009) was an American actor and musician. Background Born in Wilmington, Delaware, United States, he moved with his family to Texas at the age of two. He fell into the Fort Worth music scene after graduating from Texas Christian University when he joined Kris Kristofferson's band as the latter's career was about to take off; their collaboration and friendship lasted more than 40 years. Chris Duarte (born February 16, 1963) is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter. Duarte plays a style of Texas blues-rock that draws on elements of jazz, blues, and rock and roll. In his own words, his musical style is a combination of "rockin' blues" and "punk blues." He is signed to Shrapnel Records. Biography Duarte was born in San Antonio, Texas, and was first inspired by music at age eight after seeing '' Fiddler On The Roof'' on television. Duarte first began playing on his brother's guitar and then obtained his own electric guitar, a Supro, at the age of 14. The Animals
The Animals (also billed as Eric Burdon and the Animals) are an English rock band, formed in Newcastle upon Tyne in the early 1960s. The band moved to London upon finding fame in 1964. Robert Stanley Whitlock (born March 18, 1948) is an American singer, songwriter and musician. He is best known as a member of the blues-rock band Derek and the Dominos, with Eric Clapton, in 1970–71. Whitlock's musical career began with Memphis soul acts such as Sam & Dave and Booker T. & the M.G.'s before he joined Delaney & Bonnie and Friends in 1968. Lillia Lavell "Lavelle" White (born July 3, 1929) is an American Texas blues and soul blues singer and songwriter. After performing most of her adult lifetime, White released three albums, the first of which was issued in 1994, when she was aged 65. Life and career White was born in Amite City, Louisiana. Her parents were sharecroppers. She started to write poetry at the age of 12, which led her to songwriting, and singing gospel songs. Toni Price (born March 13, 1961) is an American country blues singer from Austin, Texas, United States. Life and career Price was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her adoptive parents, the Prices, named her Luiese Esther after her grandmothers. Her first exposure to blues was through second-generation blueswoman Bonnie Raitt. Luiese later began to study the recordings of women blues singers such as Sippie Wallace and Victoria Spivey, from whose music Raitt herself had learned. Luiese moved to New Jersey, where she started schooling and began singing, then moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where a summer parks program featured a talent contest in her 10th year, which she entered as Toni Price.
