Branko Bošković
Branko Bošković ( sr-Cyrl, Бранко Бошковић, ; born 21 June 1980) is a Montenegrin retired footballer, who is best known for playing for his legendary performances with DC United, Red Star Belgrade, Paris Saint-Germain and Rapid Wien. Club Bošković started his pro career in 1996 with the Budva outfit FK Mogren, which was competing in lower Yugoslav division at the time. After playing there for two-and-a-half seasons, Branko earned a dream move to Red Star Belgrade in December 1998. In his four-and-a-half seasons in Belgrade, he twice helped his team win the Serbo-Montenegrin Football League, in both 1999–2000 and 2000–01, as well as the Yugoslav Cup three times in 1999, 2000 & 2002. Additionally, he marked himself out as a talented and creative midfielder with a nose for goal, all of which earned him a series of national team call-ups. Beočin
Beočin ( sr-cyr, Беочин, ; hu, Belcsény) is a town and municipality located in the South Bačka District of the autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia. The population of the town is 7,839, whilst Beočin's municipality population is 15,726. There is also a Beočin Monastery from the 16th century in the municipality. Name In Serbian, the town is known as ''Beočin'' (Беочин), in Croatian as ''Beočin'', in Hungarian as ''Belcsény'', in German (dated) as ''Beotschin'', in Slovak as ''Beočín'', and in Rusyn as Беочин. The 2000–01 First League of FR Yugoslavia was the ninth season of the FR Yugoslavia's top-level football league since its establishment. It was contested by 18 teams, and Red Star Belgrade won the championship. Incidents Eternal derby abandoned The 115th edition of the Eternal derby match between Red Star Belgrade and FK Partizan on Saturday, 14 October 2000 at the Marakana was abandoned after three minutes of play due to fan rioting. The incident began with Partizan fans, Grobari, pelting the pitch with flares at which point the match play got interrupted. The rioting kept escalating with the southern stand seating being torn off by the Grobari and thrown onto the athletic track. At one point, the team captain Saša Ilić was seen in front of the stand pleading to no avail with the Partizan ultra supporters to stop rioting. 2004 UEFA European Football Championship Qualifying
Qualification for the UEFA Euro 2004, 2004 UEFA European Championship took place between September 2002 and November 2003. Designated Player Rule
The Designated Player Rule, nicknamed the Beckham Rule, allows Major League Soccer franchises to sign up to three players that would be considered outside their salary cap (either by offering the player higher wages or by paying a transfer fee for the player).
