Branislav Đekić
Branislav Đekić (Serbian Cyrillic: Бранислав Ђекић; born August 12, 1991) is a Serbian professional basketball player who last played for EuroNickel 2005 of the Macedonian First League and BIBL. At , he plays at the power forward position. Professional career Đekić started his basketball professional career in 2009, with KK Partizan. He played for Partizan for three years while one year he spent at Mega Vizura on loan. On November 1, 2013, he signed a one-year contract with Strumica. In his debut on November 3, he scored 14 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in a 72–66 win against Karpos Sokoli. He recorded his first double-double in his second competitive match for Strumica, against Liria with 23 points and 10 rebounds. The power forward (PF), also known as the four or strong forward, is a position in basketball. Power forwards play a role similar to centers. When on offense, they typically play with their backs towards the basket. ABA League
The ABA League, renamed to the ABA League First Division in 2017, is the 1st-tier regional men's professional basketball league that originally featured clubs from the former Yugoslavia (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia). Due to sponsorship reasons, the league was also known as the Goodyear League from 2001 to 2006, the NLB League from 2006 to 2011, and as the AdmiralBet ABA League from 2021. Serbian Cyrillic
The Serbian Cyrillic alphabet ( sr, / , ) is a variation of the Cyrillic script used to write the Serbian language, updated in 1818 by Serbian linguist Vuk Karadžić. It is one of the two alphabets used to write standard modern Serbian, the other being Gaj's Latin alphabet. Karadžić based his alphabet on the previous Slavonic-Serbian script, following the principle of "write as you speak and read as it is written", removing obsolete letters and letters representing iotified vowels, introducing from the Latin alphabet instead, and adding several consonant letters for sounds specific to Serbian phonology. 2007 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship
The 2007 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship was the 21st edition of the FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship. The cities of Ierapetra, Rethymno and Heraklion, in Greece, hosted the tournament. Serbia won the trophy for the first time since the dissolution of Serbia and Montenegro. Slovenia and Portugal were relegated to Division B.
