"Brahma" is a poem by Ralph Waldo Emerson, written in 1856. However, the poem was published in the November 1857 issue of ''The Atlantic''. It is named for Brahman, the universal principle of the Vedas. About Brahma is one of the poems composed by Ralph Waldo Emerson, an American transcendentalist of the nineteenth century. The poem is composed in the form of an utterance- a form which comprises sublime or metaphysical content while adding to it the balladic quatrain-music pattern. (A dramatic form not in vogue, and distinctly different from Browning's dramatic developments). The form, therefore, is the first of its kind to include Oriental poetical material in the Western verse framework. The central speaker of the poem is Brahma Himself, who according to Hindu philosophers of India, is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. ''Brahma'' is a 1994 Indian Hindi-language film directed by K. Subash and produced by S. Ramanathan. The film stars Govinda, Madhoo and Ayesha Jhulka. It is a remake of Subash's 1991 Tamil film '' Bramma''. Plot Suraj (Govinda) has a unique skill of looking at a child and making a painting of how that child would look after growing up. One day, he is approached by a person with the photo of a girl child and is asked to paint the photo of how she would look when she grows up. He starts the work sincerely, just to realise the motive behind this request. His client wants to find the girl, who is now grown up, and kill her in order to become rich. Suraj wants to help the girl. To put the killers offtrack, he instead paints the face of his dead wife. What follows is a plot with lots twists and turns. The Brahma is an American breed of chicken. It was developed in the United States from birds imported from the Chinese port of Shanghai, and was the principal American meat breed from the 1850s until about 1930. History There has been controversy and confusion over the origin of the Brahma. It appears to have developed in the United States from large birds, with heavily feathered legs, imported in the 1840s from the Chinese port of Shanghai, and thus known as "Shanghai" birds. In molecular biology, SWI/SNF (SWItch/Sucrose Non-Fermentable), is a subfamily of ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complexes, which is found in eukaryotes. In other words, it is a group of proteins that associate to remodel the way DNA is packaged. This complex is composed of several proteins – products of the SWI and SNF genes (, /, , , ), as well as other polypeptides. It possesses a DNA-stimulated ATPase activity that can destabilize histone-DNA interactions in reconstituted nucleosomes in an ATP-dependent manner, though the exact nature of this structural change is unknown. The SWI/SNF subfamily provides crucial nucleosome rearrangement, which is seen as ejection and/or sliding. The Brahman is an American breed of zebuine-taurine hybrid beef cattle. It was bred in the United States from 1885 from cattle originating in India, imported at various times from the United Kingdom, from India and from Brazil. These were mainly Gir, Guzerá and Nelore stock, with some Indu-Brasil, Krishna Valley and Ongole. The Brahman has a high tolerance of heat, sunlight and humidity, and good resistance to parasites. It has been exported to many countries, particularly in the tropics; in Australia it is the most numerous breed of cattle. Brahma is a Brazilian beer, originally made by the Companhia Cervejaria Brahma, which was founded in 1888. In 1914, Brahma produced their national Malzbier. After that, the company began expanding internationally. The company bought the license for distribution of the Germania brand, which later was known as Guanabara, and was one of the earliest of the Brazilian beer brands. In 1934, Brahma introduced the new bottled draft Brahma Chopp, and it became a Brazilian bestseller. The Fort Worth Brahmas were a professional ice hockey team in the Central Hockey League, and previously the Western Professional Hockey League. The team originally played at the Fort Worth Convention Center but played their final six seasons, including their 2008–09 Championship season at the NYTEX Sports Centre. The CHL officially announced the team was going inactive on June 16, 2013. History 1990s Originally announced as the Fort Worth Bulls but forced to change their name after the Birmingham Bulls objected, the team began play in the Western Professional Hockey League as the Fort Worth Brahmas (named after Brahma bulls) while the CHL's Fort Worth Fire were still in operation.
