Bradley Neil
Bradley Hay Neil (born 16 January 1996) is a Scottish professional golfer. He won the 2014 Amateur Championship. Amateur career In 2013, Neil won the Scottish Boys Championship. In 2014, he won The Amateur Championship, defeating Zander Lombard 2&1 in the final. This win qualified him for the Open Championship the next month and the following year's Masters Tournament and U.S. Open, in all of which he missed the cut. Professional career Neil made his professional debut the week after the U.S. Open, at the SSE Scottish Hydro Challenge on the Challenge Tour. In July 2017 he had his best finishes as a professional, joint runner-up in the Prague Golf Challenge and the Italian Challenge Open in successive weeks. He finished the season 15th in the Race to Oman rankings to earn his place on the 2018 European Tour. 2014 Eisenhower Trophy
The 2014 Eisenhower Trophy took place 10–13 September on the Iriyama and Oshitate courses at Karuizawa 72 Golf East in Karuizawa, Japan. It was the 29th World Amateur Team Championship for the Eisenhower Trophy and the second to be held in Japan. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 67 three-man teams. The best two scores for each round counted towards the team total. Each team played two rounds on the two courses. The leading teams played on the Oshitate course on the third day and on the Iriyama course on the final day. United States won their 15th Eisenhower Trophy, two strokes ahead of Canada, who took the silver medal. Spain took the bronze medal one stroke ahead of Sweden at fourth. Eisenhower Trophy
The Eisenhower Trophy (World Men's Amateur Team Championships) is the biennial World Amateur Team Championship for men organized by the International Golf Federation. Since the tournament was first played in 1958, it is named after Dwight D. Eisenhower, the President of the United States at the time, who was a keen amateur golfer. The equivalent competition for women is the Espirito Santo Trophy. Results The 1958 championship resulted in a tie. There was an 18-hole playoff which Australia won with a score of 222 to the United States 224. From 1958 to 2000 the teams had four players with the best three scores counting for each round. Junior Ryder Cup
The Junior Ryder Cup is a team golf competition between Europe and the United States for junior golfers aged 18 and under. It is based on the men's Ryder Cup and is run by the same organisations, the PGA of America and Ryder Cup Europe. The 2018 event took place at Golf Disneyland, Marne-la-Vallée, Paris, France on Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 September. The United States won 12–11, their sixth successive victory in the event. Format The teams consist of six boys and six girls. From 2008 to 2018 the tournament was played over two days of foursomes, fourball and singles matches. The St Andrews Trophy is a biennial men's team golf tournament contested between teams of amateur golfers representing Great Britain & Ireland and the Continent of Europe. It takes its name from St Andrews in Scotland. It was first played in 1956 and takes place in even-numbered years; Great Britain & Ireland plays in the United States in the Walker Cup in odd-numbered years. The 2014 European Amateur Team Championship took place 8–12 July at Linna Golf Oy in Hämeenlinna, Finland. It was the 31st men's golf European Amateur Team Championship. Venue The course, situated 5 kilometres east of Hämeenlinna, located in the historical province of Tavastia and the modern province of Kanta-Häme in the south of Finland, 98 kilometres north of Helsinki, was designed by Tim Lobb in cooperation with European Tour Design and opened in 2005. The 2013 European Amateur Team Championship took place 9–13 July at Silkeborg Ry Golf Club in Silkeborg, located in the middle of the Jutlandic peninsula, Denmark. It was the 30th men's golf European Amateur Team Championship. Venue The club was founded as Silkeborg Golf Club in 1965 and its first 18-hole course was fully developed in 1968.
