Bracken is an unincorporated community in Webster County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. Bracken is located on Missouri Route DD, approximately six miles east of Marshfield. The headwaters of Bracken Creek are to the northeast of the community. History A post office called Bracken was established in 1877, and remained in operation until 1906. Webster County is a county located in the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the 2010 census, the population was 36,202. Its county seat is Marshfield. The county was organized in 1855 and named for U.S. Senator and U.S. Secretary of State Daniel Webster. Webster County is part of the Springfield, MO Metropolitan Statistical Area.
