Boyton ( kw, Trevoya) is a civil parish and village in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is situated close to the River Tamar and the border with Devon about six miles (10 km) north of Launceston. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 378.This increased to 457 at the 2011 census. Boyton is a rural parish which takes its name from ''Boia's Farm'' and is mentioned in the Domesday Book as ''Boitone''. It is bounded to the east by the Devon border, to the north by North Tamerton parishes, to the west by North Petherwin parish, and to the south by Werrington parish. Boyton is in the Launceston Registration District. The manor of Boyton was recorded in the Domesday Book (1086) when it was one of several manors held by Hamelin from Robert, Count of Mortain. Boyton, Suffolk
Boyton is a village and civil parish in the East Suffolk district of Suffolk, England, about eight miles east of Woodbridge, and close to Orford Ness. Boyton is a small village in South East England and is part of the heritage coast. In the Domesday Book of 1086 Boyton was recorded under the name "Bohtuna". The village has a number of facilities within the surrounding area, for instance Hollesley primary school, a village primary school for children aged 4–11 years. Boyton village hall is becoming a focus for new village activities, and HM Prison Hollesley Bay is also located not far from the village centre. In the 1870s Boyton was described by John Marius Wilson as: :"a parish in Woodbridge district, Suffolk; on the river Alde, near Hollesley bay, 4 miles WSW of Orford, and 7 SE of Melton r. station." Boyton is a village and civil parish in Wiltshire, England. It lies in the Wylye Valley within Salisbury Plain, about south-east of Warminster and north-west of Salisbury. The parish includes the village of Corton. The A36 Salisbury-Warminster road passes north of the villages. The parish is on the right (south) bank of the Wylye, opposite Upton Lovell (near Corton) and Codford St Peter (near Boyton). Its area extends south-west to the higher ground of Corton Down, Boyton Down and Rowdean Hill. In the far south is the Great Ridge Wood, which lies mostly within Boyton and covers about a quarter of the parish. History Prehistoric sites in the parish include Corton Long Barrow. James Boyton
Sir James Boyton (1855 – 16 May 1926) was a British estate agent and a Conservative politician. Boyton was born in Shoreditch, London, to Henry and Sarah Boyton. He joined his family firm of Elliott, Son and Boyton in 1878. He was president of the Auctioneers' and Estate Agents' Institute for 1905–6. He also served as a Justice of the peace (JP) for the County of London. Boyton was a member of the London County Council from 1907 to 1910, representing the Municipal Reform Party. Successfully contesting both the January 1910 parliamentary election and the December 1910 election, he was Unionist Member of Parliament (MP) for Marylebone East from 1910 to 1918. Boyton was knighted in the 1918 New Year Honours. She works on the molecular immunology of infectious, allergic and autoimmune inflammation.
