Boye Skistad
Boye Skistad (born 4 March 1948) is a Norwegian retired football player and manager who played as a midfielder. He spent his entire career in Mjøndalen, except for one mediocre season in SK Brann. He also managed Mjøndalen, guiding the team to the 1992 Eliteserien. Skistad represented Norway as an U19, U21 and senior international. He was a twin brother of Brede Skistad. A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. Mjøndalen is a built up area in Drammen municipality in Viken county (formerly Buskerud county), Norway. It is situated south of the Drammenselva River opposite of Krokstadelva. History Mjøndalen has traditionally been a railway site most known as an industrial sawmill location. Historically Mjøndalen was known for its industry; including paper & pulp production and a substantial cellulose industry. Mjøndalen IF Fotball – commonly known as Mjøndalen IF, and (especially locally) Mjøndar'n or MIF – is the football department of Mjøndalen IF. Founded in 1910, the club is located in Mjøndalen, Viken, Norway. The team plays its home matches in the 4,350-capacity Consto Arena. Mjøndalen competes in Obos Ligaen, the second tier in the Norwegian football league system having been relegated from the Eliteserien at the end of the 2021 season.
