The men's light middleweight event was part of the boxing programme at the 1972 Summer Olympics. The weight class allowed boxers of up to 71 kilograms to compete. Boxhalle is an indoor arena located in Olympiapark in Munich, Germany. For the 1972 Summer Olympics, it hosted the Boxing at the 1972 Summer Olympics, boxing events and the Judo at the 1972 Summer Olympics, judo finals.
