Bourgoin-Jallieu
Bourgoin-Jallieu (; frp, Brégon) is a commune in the Isère department in the region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in France. The city had 28,834 inhabitants in 2019 and lies 35 kilometres east-southeast of Lyon. It was formed by the merger of the former communes Bourgoin and Jallieu in 1965. Geography Bourgoin is located 32 km from Lyon, 17 km from St Priest, the first suburb and 70 km from Grenoble. The town is next to the new town of l'Isle-d'Abeau and Saint-Exupéry International Airport. The Bourbre flows northwest through the commune and crosses the town. CS Bourgoin-Jallieu is a French rugby union club currently competing in the third level of the French league system, Nationale. Julien Bonnaire (born 20 September 1978) is a former French rugby union footballer, who played for CS Bourgoin-Jallieu in the Top 14 competition in France until the 2006–2007 season. Brahim Asloum ( ar, إبراهيم اسلوم, born 31 January 1979 in Bourgoin-Jallieu, Isère) is a French boxer. He won the Light Flyweight Gold medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Yvon Gattaz (born 17 June 1925) is a French businessman. He is the co-founder of Radiall, an electronics manufacturer. Rugby Pro D2, also known as Pro D2 is the second tier of rugby union club competition division in France. It is operated by Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR) which also runs the division directly above, the first division Top 14. Rugby Pro D2 was introduced in 2000. It is the world's best supported second tier rugby union league. Season structure There is relegation and promotion between both the Top 14 and Fédérale 1, the third-level competition. Simon Gachet (born 14 October 1993) is a French racing driver who currently competes in the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup for Tresor by Car Collection. Career Early career An avid rugby player as a young boy, Gachet was not heavily involved with motorsports in his youth.
