Bossk (band)
Bossk are a British heavy metal music, heavy metal band formed in Ashford, Kent in 2005. The band released a string of EPs and smaller releases through QnotQ and Eyesofsound until they broke up in 2008. After reuniting in 2012, they released a new single, "Pick Up Artist" (2013), and their debut studio album, ''Audio Noir'' (2016). They are named after a minor alien character in ‘’The Empire Strikes Back’’. History Following their 2006 debut release, ''.1'', on the QnotQ label they toured extensively with a number of bands, including Cult of Luna, The Ocean (band), The Ocean, Yndi Halda, Baroness (band), Baroness, Capricorns and The Hope Conspiracy. Ashford, Kent
Ashford is a town in the county of Kent, England. It lies on the River Stour, Kent, River Great Stour at the southern or Escarpment, scarp edge of the North Downs, about southeast of central London and northwest of Folkestone by road. In the 2011 census, it had a population of 74,204. The name comes from the Old English ''æscet'', indicating a Ford (crossing), ford near a Clumping (biology), clump of Fraxinus, ash trees. ''Audio Noir'' is the debut studio album by the English heavy metal band Bossk. It was recorded by Martin Ruffin at In Lieu of a Studio in Battle, East Sussex, and released via Deathwish Inc. on 1 April 2016. Background ''Audio Noir'' was recorded, engineered, mixed and produced at In Lieu Of A Studio in Battle, East Sussex by Martin Ruffin in the summer of 2015 and completed in September 2015. Premier single “Kobe” debuted on BBC’s ''Rock Show with Daniel P. Carter'' and was made available for streaming on 8 February 2016. The same day the track listing and title, ''Audio Noir'' was announced and set to be released on 1 April 2016 via Deathwish Records. Four days later the video for “Kobe” premiered via ''Nerdist'' along with the album art work. On the day of release, the full album was streamed via BandCamp. Rinoa (band)
Rinoa was an English post-metal group, formed in Essex in 2007. Their line-up consisted of vocalist Perry Bryan, guitarists Matthew Holden and Jozef Norocky, bassist David Gumbleton and drummer James May. The band split in November 2010, with most of their members going on to different musical projects. History Rinoa was formed in Essex in 2007, following the break-up of the members' previous bands, Crydebris, Chariots and Symmetry. They named themselves after Rinoa Heartilly, a character from the video game Final Fantasy VIII. The band released their self-titled EP, ''Rinoa'', in 2008.
