Borislav "Boro" Stjepanović (born 8 May 1946 in Vareš, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Bosnian film, theater and television actor. He has played in over 50 films since the 1960s, most notably in '' Sjećaš li se Doli Bel'', ''Ko to tamo peva'', '' Čudo neviđeno'', '' Miris dunja'', ''Kuduz'', '' Gluvi barut'', ''First Class Thieves'', Oscar award winning Bosnian film ''No Man's Land'' and many others. Vareš
Vareš ( cyrl, Вареш) is a town and municipality located in Zenica-Doboj Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is situated in central Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is famous for the local mining activities and production of iron. As of 2013, it has a population of 8,892 inhabitants, with 2,917 in the town itself. Geography Vareš is a mountainous town located 45 km from Sarajevo in the valley of the small Stavnja River 828 m above sea level surrounded by the massive high Kapija, Stijene, Zvijezda and Perun Mountains, named after Perun / Перун, the highest god of the Slavic pantheon (Perkūnas/ Perkons). The film is a parable and marked the debut of Bosnian writer and director Danis Tanović. It is a co-production among companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Italy, France, Belgium and the United Kingdom. The film was first premiered on 19 September 2001 in France. The film won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 2002. ''Lud, zbunjen, normalan'' () is a Bosnian television comedy series that aired from 2007 to 2021. Since its debut, it was also shown in Croatia, Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Slovenia.
