Borislav Mihaylov
Borislav Biserov Mihaylov ( bg, Борислав Биcepoв Михайлов; born 12 February 1963) is a Bulgarian former professional footballer, who played as a goalkeeper, and President of the Bulgarian Football Union (2005 – 2019; 2021 – present). He is also a former member of the executive committee of UEFA. Mihaylov was captain of the Bulgaria national team during their major fourth-place run at the 1994 FIFA World Cup (during the shoot-out against Mexico at the 1/8-final stage he saved two penalties), as well as during their participation in UEFA Euro 1996. He also played at the 1986 FIFA World Cup and 1998 FIFA World Cup and is currently the second most-capped player of the Bulgaria national football team with 102 appearances, and the footballer with the most matches played (60) as captain. The Football League First Division was a division of the Football League in England from 1888 until 2004. It was the top division in the English football league system from the season 1888–89 until 1991–92, a century in which the First Division's winning club became English men's football champions. The Bulgarian Cup ( bg, Купа на България, Kupa na Bulgaria) is a Bulgarian annual football competition. It is the country's main cup competition and all officially registered Bulgarian football teams take part in it. The tournament's format is ''single-elimination'', with all matches being one-legged, except the semi-finals. The competition's winner gets the right to take part in the UEFA Europa Conference League. If the winner has already secured a place through the Bulgarian A Professional Football Group, the team that has come ''fourth'' in the championship substitutes it. Nikolay Borislavov Mihaylov ( bg, Николай Бориславов Михайлов; born 28 June 1988) is a Bulgarian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Levski Sofia, where he is also the captain, and the Bulgarian national team. Biser Mihaylov ( bg, Бисер Михайлов; 30 June 1943 – 12 August 2020) was a Bulgarian footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He spent all 14 seasons of his career at Levski Sofia, before retiring at the age of 32 in 1975. Biography Biser Mihaylov was born in Sofia, Bulgaria.
