Boris Mikhailov (ice Hockey)
Boris Petrovich Mikhailov (russian: Бори́с Петро́вич Миха́йлов; born October 6, 1944) is a former Soviet ice hockey player. In 2000, he was inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame. Career Mikhailov played right wing on the top Soviet line of the 1970s, along with left winger Valeri Kharlamov and center Vladimir Petrov. During Soviet League play, he played in 572 games, scoring a record 428 goals along with 224 assists for a record 652 points. On the Soviet national team, he played 14 seasons, most of them as captain. He scored over 200 goals with the national team, second only to Alexander Maltsev. He led his team to the Olympic gold medal in 1972 and 1976, a silver medal in 1980, eight IIHF World Championships (1969,1970,1971,1973,1974,1975,1978,1979), and nine Izvestia championships. Alexander Mikhailovich Ovechkin ( rus, Александр Михайлович Овечкин, p=ɐlʲɪˈksandr ɐˈvʲetɕkʲɪn; born 17 September 1985) is a Russian professional ice hockey left winger and captain of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League (NHL). PutinTeam is a social movement announced in 2017 by NHL player Alexander Ovechkin to support Russian President Vladimir Putin and his 2018 Russian Presidential campaign. Ovechkin has a personal relationship with Putin. Ovechkin has a personal phone number for Putin and received a present from Putin at his wedding in 2016. PutinTeam was first announced in a November 2, 2017 post on Ovechkin’s Instagram account, which has over one million followers. On November 23, Ovechkin announced on his Instagram that the group's official website had been launched. On the soft launch of the site, visitors were encouraged to sign up for the team, track related news, participate in contests and attend and organize events. Sasha Gordon Lakovic (September 7, 1971 – April 25, 2017) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who played for 17 different professional teams during his career. Lakovic also played for four roller hockey teams in the mid-1990s.
